Battlefied 3 VS. MW3.
« on: April 21, 2011, 01:56:33 AM »
Well most of us have seen the trailers for BF3, and from what I've seen it looks flat out amazing.

My only question is whenever we see something for Modern Warfare 3 how it's gonna stack up against BF3.

The multi-player no doubt people will more than likely prefer MW3 compared to BF.

I'm wondering how the story-line will be versus the BF one, considering MW3 will continue the story of Price and Soap hunting down Makarov to finish what was unleashed in the first place.

Thoughts? The post wasn't meant to say which game is gonna be better or WHY one game would be better, people will always prefer one over the other for some sort of reason, just looking for some thoughts and feedback.

Most of the Battlefield games were good games. The multiplayer gave you a little more options that Call of Duty.

But Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 were solid games in Multiplayer and Campaign (At least I liked it).

Its probably just going to come down to what your preference is.

Exactly.

The most I ever played for Battlefield was the downloadable multiplayer demo for BF2 and it played pretty well. A lot better than the homefront multiplayer thats for sure.

I'll probably always be stuck as a CoD guy, considering I've stuck with the multiplayers since CoD4.

I'm sold on BF3.  That 12-minute gameplay video is nuts.

I'm probably going to buy both but Battlefield is my main priority, there's too much drama going on between COD developers and after Bad Company 2 anything Battlefield makes will be awesome

Yeah. That 12 minute video is what sold me on BF3. But to be fair, I havn't seen anything on MW3's end, except for a teaser live action video that some guys through together. A fake of course.

Lets not forget here that MW3 is NOT being developed by the same company/team that made MW and MW2 soo good.

True, which is yet another reason why I'm going to buy Battlefield 3 first

Battlefield 3 will be infinitely better than MW3.  The CoD franchise started whoring itself out after MW1, and the last CoD game I liked was CoD 2.

Is there really anyone out there that doesn't just get all/both?  I buy games that I know are going to be kind of stupid, but still somehow want to play.  I even play through the dumb ones for some reason.

I hear you, a good example of this for me would be Bulletstorm, game was full of violence and dick jokes but it was fun to play haha

My gaming days are over, so no.  But it's fun to drool at the trailers, geekily.

battlefield makes me feel like im actually apart of a real life battlefield, more than call of duty does. i feel that sadly call of duty is spiraling downward. the games have lost the quality that cod 4 had. battlefield 3 is my priority mw3 is second priority.
