Facemask question
« on: April 28, 2011, 10:27:35 PM »
So me and my girlfriend are moving from Hawaii to Arizona, and here in Hawaii youre unfortunatley required to wear a facemask. How are the facemask laws in Arizona? Are they strict or are they more laid back?
                                                                                                                                                                                                                        -Thanks

It varies at each field. But the only course that you are required to wear a full facemask is Vanguard Indoor Playground in Gilbert.

Oh alright, thanks. What are some good fields? I've already seen a few videos of Rebel Union, it looks pretty legit.

The mask rules are great. A lot of the games I play at don't require excessive face protection, but I currently wear a half mask Neoprene face mask, because I lost a tooth in a CQB game last year [smilie=armata_pdt_14.gif]

That is incorrect.

At Vanguard as long as your ears nose and mouth are covered you are Good to go.  IE. Wire-mesh Face Masks

You can wear typical Eye Pros at VIP as long as they are not sunglasses.

Airsoft in Arizona does vary about face masks. If you are under the age of 18 typically you have to wear a full face mask at games, unless otherwise specified.

if you are already used to playing in a full face you should jsut stay with it. it isn't as humid here so your masks may not fog up as easy as they do in the island state. Full face just gives you the most protection period.

Most fields require sealed eye protection, so goggles will do... if you don't mind getting shot on the lip

Well, im used to playing with just goggles. I just moved back to Hawaii a year and a half ago and its the law that you have to wear a paintball mask. But I have Bolle T-800 goggles that I had been using for 4 years.

i rock the same goggles, at the end of the day it is your choice. I don't like masks do to having to run scope risers. Run what ever you feel safe in and don't b*tch if you get your tooth shot out. Hope to meet you when you move out here.
