My Smart Charger is being a real Asshole...

Alright, so I bought a 'tenergy smart charger' which is sopposed to be able to charge anything from a 7v up to a 12v battery. When I plug in one of my 5 batteries, it flashes red. It shouldn't be doing this, it should be a steady red, not flashing. I've tried it with 5 differant batteries of differant voltages. I've tried charging them halfway first with a regular wall charger, and then with the smart charger. Still no luck. This thing is really pissing me off  [smilie=armata_pdt_19.gif]
If anyone could help, please, I would apppreciate any tips.

hit it with a hammer and return it back to the store you bought it from. Or if you bought it off line or used, good luck. Once the chargers don't work the only thing you can do is check the solder joints on the output wires.

If its only one battery pack flashing then that pack is probably bad
Are you charging lipo?

And what batteries are you trying to charge? (be specific, Example: 8.4v 2000mah Ni-Cd)

if it has a fuse check the fuse if its dc powered make sure the power source is good if its only 1 battery its gonna be that battery is bad. if all are like that most likely ur charger is bad u may have shorted ur charger

Tenergy is an RC company. Airsoft batteries are wired with opposite polarity from RC batteries. Did you check your polarity?

Didn't know that. Polarity is what I was going to guess, but knowing what you said, that's very likely the problem.

Look at the color on the wires. Red to red. Black to black.

You take your daughter to the church and if she rejects the holy water she destined for a life on the pole. Red is live or hot, black is ground. on a small tamiya the square is ground, on a deans the top of the t is hot, and on a large type the square is live.
