KA M4 Bolt Catch
« on: October 04, 2011, 12:06:07 PM »
I have a King Arms M4 AEG, with a functioning bolt catch.  But after dissasembling it for the first time to install a new barrel, the bolt catch didnt work right.  After putting the gun back together, I pulled the charge handle back, which was strangely difficult, as if the bolt wasn't in the correct position, even though it looks to be correct.  The bolt locks back, but when I hit the bolt catch, it doesn't snap forward like it should.  I tried taking it apart and putting it back together several times, but the same thing always happens.  Anyone have an idea on whats wrong?

I have the same gun, same exact problem. Though on mine, it lines up perfectly but it wont release...
It hasnt bothered me enough to try fixing it. If it really bothers you, just take it apart and do it again

So Ive figured out that its not the bolt catch.  Its just that the bolt doesn't slide right.  Its difficult to slide it back, and if I hold the bolt catch down, I can push it forward with pliers.  I guess Ill try dissassembling it again and try to get it in the right position.  I might try sanding it down some.
