If there are too many people, we can simply extend the border to the barbed wire fence on the eastern-most side of the field.  I have played in that area and it is extremely good gameplay.

THAT IS A BAD IDEA !!!
Guys i know this is a small field and if all that say that are coming actually do.. it's going to be too many people!
But keep in mind that games in that area are simply tolerated (the general public just does not know about them).
So we -have- to keep it that way.

To all that are planning on coming - please note:
STAY AWAY FROM THE ROAD (S. Mountain Rd). Don't even park your car close to it!
If people that drive by see us walking around with "guns!", they will most likely call the police -- they don't know any better, they don't know the difference and they cannot see your orange flash hider either!! (not that it means anything to them anyway!). This has already happened before in this specific field!

I was informed that the wire fence you are talking about, did not use to be there.
Apparently some people would rather not have us there.
So KEEP A LOW PROFILE or the Maricopa Sheriff will end up joining our game and i don't think that Arpaio shoots .2s @ 300 fps.

Jokes aside, this is a small field, but we cannot afford to lose it. I have received a few PMs along these lines already..
We will have to stay out of sight from the general public.

Any local players that know more about this field?? Your thoughts??

I'd rather not waste my time tryin' to play nice with the public eye, if this is a tiny field, and a generous amount of people are going. Why would you try to host a clusterf*ck game in a place that is considered to be a 'no-go, people might call the cops situation?' Count me out, it is nice to have a backyard field for you and some buddies to mess around on, but to 'host' a 'large game' on a so-so field that you "just cant lose" in opinion is stupid.

Right, you see the intention was not at all to host a huge game in a tiny field! It was simply to get a few people out there to play a some games.

Given the response this thread had in the last few days, i received a few PM by locals that use that field, that brought to my attention these issues, and that we may run into some problems if (say) 100 people show up all at once!

As such, i thought i should make everyone aware of the situation (especially those that plan on driving from far away).
I have only been at that field ONCE, and it was not a "no-go", everything worked out fine!
As for the thread, I just happened to be the first that made a post about this. I am not "organizing an event" or anything!

So, be aware of the situation, that's all the information i have received so far, plan your weekend accordingly.

P.S. I think that it is not a good idea to use airsoft "guns" anywhere close to public streets or areas, regardless the size of the team or the place.
Most people don't know the difference (and don't even care to find out).
just my 2 cents..

FYI I just received word today that people from The FUJI plant have complained about people playing back there. The MCSO's have been notified and anyone continuing on going to this field will more than likely be met by the MCSO's ( Maricopa county sheriff's )

This field is no longer legal to play at.  Here is your friendly warning.

I think though the reason this came about is because the MCSO's recently responded to some calls about Raves going on there at night.

Scratch our RSVP +4 in lieu of recent posts by Breech and especially Phantom.  Will head to Fightertown instead I'm thinking.

That's good to know .. last week when i was there i met just a few people and nothing along these lines came up!

In lieu of this new info - which i also just found out about - i am not sure what we should do or where we should go play.

Which brings up a good point: we need a field South of Phx!! Every other game is more than 1 hour of drive North from here.

- Suggestions ??

Could try 40th Street and Jomax area, the stretch of desert leaves open area for play away from housing. You'll need to drive into it though to keep games safe and hidden. It isnt east valley, but it isnt in the aves either.

As long as it is South of Phx i am in!
How can we make sure that it is 'ok' to play there?
