I'd say 16+ is generally a good rule, not be be biased, but it's really not the 17 year olds and 16 year olds causing the problems, it's th 14 year olds who don't call hits, and whine when they get shot.

The liability thing is the real issue though. That's why, even though I allow minors, they are all required to wear full face masks, not just goggles.
Hey! I'm 14 and I play fair. You'll get those shots that hurt, but I wont Bitch about it, unless the 'painful' kill was caused by cheating/cheaters.
I use to airsoft, then I took a BB to the knee.

guys, get back on topic, he wants to know suggestions, not your age.... stop complaining that you are mature enough to play. it proves nothing... the only way to do something is to play with people and show your a good sport and not an idiot. complaining that your mature enough brings nothing good and only creates arguements....

hey STeeCHfinger, what do you have in mind as of now for a game.

I would like a conquest game with 3 command points plus each teams HQ. Each team has a command chain directing squads to fight. First team to raise A flag or capture each CP wins.

Bambi is on our team and I have played against him and I know he calls his shots especially from last Sunday.

they are at work. ;)

I'd like to see more games with a controlled amount of bbs per side. 6 mid caps, or 3 high caps, etc. Force on force, and capture the flag are fun objectives with this style of play.
Added story to the milsim is enjoyable too, adds a nice touch.

..One-hour game, one hundred-fifty rounds per player, deathmatch.
That's mil-sim for ya!
IMO, a simpler objective based game beat's a too-complex, longer goatfu*k anytime.

One game I always liked from paintball days involved capturing the player's bright colored armband when you shot them. One strategy was to hunt the guy with a lot of armbands on rather than one armband here n' there..
Again, simple but intense game.

..A bit more complex? I hosted a game once that involved using simple map and compass work in the combat enviroment. The objective "treasure" was a hidden ice chest full of Safeway sodas (I was on a budget). Everyone had a good time and found the map&compass (or GPS) work to add more milsim.

BB controll in airsoft is stupid. As a soldier you can carry as much as you want. I do agree to no hi caps but nothing along the lines of "150bbs" per player.

What's stupid about it? With 150 rounds, you are forced to conserve, not spray and pray. Well-aimed shots require skill, just like real life combat. Use of full auto is still allowed, but now it comes with a tradeoff.
Limited rounds makes airsoft more of a challenge, and less like some video game.

I agree with TangoAlpha30 although if there was a limit to the amount off bb's, it should be more than 150. At the least it should be 500 rounds. One midcap and a few extra bb's is really not enough. I do agree though that there should not be highcaps if you're going with Milsim unless somebody is using a weapon like a SAW.

Think about it -Whats the most you face on one side, maybe 30 opponents? Why does it take even 150 rounds for that few targets? (Not to mention that everyone else on your side also has 150 rounds)
Again, it'd be some piss-poor shooting skills to need more.

Have refs carry guns, and shoot random people when they aren't paying attention. Easy way to tell when people aren't calling their hits.

We have done this at games Phantom has hosted.  If you are shot by a ref for any reason you are out. That works too.

I understand you want the realism of taking your time to hit somebody becasue I want that too but cover plays a factor in it also. You never know if one bb or a whole spray of 100 bb's are going to go or not go through the brush. I was just saying it should be more than 150 incase someones gun can't punch through cover with one bb or if you catch people not calling their hits and want to make sure you put enough rounds into them to make them call their hits. I do agree though with the taking well aimed shots.
