Pretty soon this game series will reach the same level as it's sister event in Russia!  I hope it stays more affordable though ;)

It's cheaper then a single day of basic games at any airsoft/paintball field  ;D

I'm hoping to settle on a final figure of about 80 people maximum at our largest games, unless I can find a larger location with more buildings.

I remember there have been a couple 100+ person games out at SASCO that I have been to. I think the first one I went to was Sic Siemper Tyrannis and the other was The Hills Have Eyes (at least I think that was close to 100).

Are you serious? I was just posting about this in the Op Gold War thread. I don't see how that large of a group would work out playing at SASCO. There doesn't seem like enough cover or buildings at all. At Red Sleigh Down there were 40 people and that seemed to be a good number. I guess it could work, except it might not be as fun IMO. If you're going to have that many people then go all out with buildings and trenches.

It all depends on the style of play the admins are shooting for really.  Sic Semper Tyrannis and Hills Have Eyes were all squad based milsim games.  Using the total area there was plenty to maneuver in given that even in MOUT terrain its tough to conceal a whole squad.

Using just the area around the hill, bunkers, shooting area, black top, and main road you can easily fit 100 people in and have enough time and space to allow for tactical movement.  Stretch out to the shitter and alamo and you can support 100+ and allow for long periods of time with no contact.

Given that Darrk is trying to admin this himself, I'd say the real bottleneck is in number of admins.  Those 100+ people games usually need to run at least 3 full time staff that are not playing or else content and communication suffer.

Back on topic.  Is there anything special we need to bring that is not currently posted in the front page?  Just want to make sure so we have kit in order.

I generally believe that the best way to admin is by making team leaders responsible for their team members. The mission orders are pre-written with designated times to be opened on the outside of them. This allows for (roughly) on time delivery, along with clear orders, because I can have a full page to explain the orders, as opposed to short radio trasmissions.

Back on topic.  Is there anything special we need to bring that is not currently posted in the front page?  Just want to make sure so we have kit in order.
No particularly, a gasmask, if you have one, is useful for the game, but those are available "in-game", all of that stuff will be explained at the event.

So what are you guys doin to STALKER it up?  I was gonna bring some small bread loaves, some diet sausage, and fill up a vodka bottle with water.  Maybe some radiation meds or a nice orange medkit.  Thoughts?

I'm liking the ideas. I might try to acquire myself a vodka bottle Friday night........ As a free stalker I'm probably just wearing jeans, a tee-shirt and a battle belt. Cowboy looking hat. I don't have a gas mask unfortunately.... Thought about throwing on a baggy sweater, but that might get hot.

Also, can you give me alternate directions for downloading the waiver or shoot me a copy of the waiver at (my forum username)@gmail.com so I can batch print them for the team?  I refuse to install the proprietary downloader that your link is trying to get me to install.

There shouldn't be any software you need to download, be wary of fake "download here" links, but as long as all your guy are over 18, they can sign them at the field. Most factions will have enough money at the beginning to buy one or two sets of full auto, I recommend you use them for your support weapons, but in the event you don't, they need to make a very concerted effort to shoot semi. On your fps note, yes that's fine, the rules are there or safety reasons and I'd Tac considers it safe, it is fine by me.
