Sorry to cancel last minute, poor planning on my part. I am going to Houston the same day (Forgot it was the start of spring break.. D'oh!). Anyways, go ahead and take my names of the list and open it up for others to have an opportunity to go.
Don't try to argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to thier level and beat you with experience.

What are the rules for hand grenades?

10ft kill radius, kills everyone in a room if thrown in.

Those rules apply to dummy frags as well?

Also, I suspect I know the answer to this already, but are pyrotechnic smoke grenades allowed?

Yes, and yes, as long as you're not stupid about them, don't go throwing them into a bush, but they're fin for open areas/"The Town".

No, pre-registration is over, you can reserve a slot, but you need to pay full event price.

This is what I'm seeing:
Quote
7. No explosives or combustibles of any kind are allowed in games unless approved by the organizer/host of the event beforehand.
It goes on to list examples and penalties and such, but that's the important bit.

As this is NOT a TAC event please check with DARR as far as Pyro.

Here are the Pyro Guidlines as followed by the  49Th Commando Grenadiers During private Games and Non TAC events. This is strictly enforced. We have had no pyro related issues.

No home made pyro.
No military smoke grenades M18 or others
No smoke that burns longer than 90 seconds
No yellow smoke device (can be mistaken for Chlorine or other chemical fire}
No   Military Flash bangs that have an over presure or decibles above 120Db
No one under 18 can deploy pyro
All pyro must be inspected and approved pre game.
Fire suppression devices must be present in/ at any area where pyro is deployed

Thanks Icon, yes, those make for good guidelines, and yet again, no combustibles ANYWHERE near brush. I've whipped up some smoke bombs for the game, but I'm experienced in chemistry and know how to do this safely. Do not bring homemade ones.

Well, count out my smokes, then. It's not like it's a particularly difficult recipe, though...

On that note, if I wanted to buy commercial smokes in the Valley, anybody know where I could do that?

not homemade, only factory made haha. i'm a chemist , i got the arsonist merit badge to boot lol.

i make my grenades with a pound of pure potasium mixed with harmless vinager.....or maybe it was baking soda i was supposed to use? ....
oh well, same thing lol.

ya, pyro stuff is mighty dangerous. but if experienced it makes for fun stuff.

(obviously i'm no chemist. but my uncle kinda is, we once thought of painting a ducks bottom with potasium and watching it land in the lake hahaha. now that's funneh) kinda trolled.

The biggest downside of a forum on a sport dominated by 14-year-olds is that nobody will ever assume you're responsible by default.

Feels bad, man.

I tried to buy them online over two weeks ago and they have YET to arrive (Do not, under any circumstances buy from this website, http://www.smokegrenade.net/, that's where I ordered from.), and I need them for the game this weekend, so it looks like I'm stuck making my own, I can sell you some if you need.

Rabble rabble conflict of interest.
