Personally, i use these: http://www.amazon.com/TNT-Pull-String-Smoke-Grenade/dp/B00346EM92  And they are from a well known company. They last about a 75 seconds... and are self ignite, internal flame. Don't tell me I can blow my hand off with these, they won't blow up. The worst that can happen to a person is minor burns if they hold it in their hand for more than 20 seconds, and who is stupid enough to do that?
Don't try to argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to thier level and beat you with experience.

Don't all pull-string smoke grenades incur a $25 hazmat shipping fee, though?

You could buy a case if you wish to spend this much: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dmisc&field-keywords=case+of+pull+string+smoke+grenade
Those are actually the ones we used at the Sandbox when I was out there last. They sell them for $3 or $4 pre-game, and they work surprisingly well. There's got to be a place locally that sells them so you don't have to pay $30-some in shipping, though.

Personally, I have no problem with M18's but they are outrageously expensive. For $2 those 1 minute smokers from Scott's link are looking good to me. I have no problem with store bought smoke as long as the user places it on clear, dry, ground and not throws it in the brush, or at someone. The latter being more likely to happen, and that is the reason TAC does not allow it. I have been to CC's and at Cold Burn II the final Bomb prop was a huge case filled with smokers and it was tizzight. When used properly as a prop smoke is great.

Aside from the cost of an M18 ( I have seen them go for $80.00) it is the amount of smoke..way to much for what we are using them for,Not to mention The used to give me a wicked headache. I recall using white, Heavy screening smoke nades,,WOW!
Pyro adds a lot to A game when done correctly. Perhaps we just ask Arty to give us a bit Of WP just befoe Game on..HEHEHEH Evil Laugh!
Only $80? Man, that's NOTHING. Check this price.
Wow! Tell you what cuz I like you I will sell you two of these small ones for $15,000.00,and.....I will double your order for only $5K more......Now thats deal!

They sell them at firework stands near July 4th and new year. If I remember correctly they're around $9 for two of them.

Made eight "smoke bombs" today, with my own formula, I found a trick to getting the material to bind together better, and instead of forming that ugly and hard "caramel" type appearance that's nearly impossible to work with, I have been able to get it to look more like thick petroleum jelly, that can be fit into containers, spread about, and molded. I set a small one off, and it burned strong for a good minute, although the smoke wasn't very thick and it took a bit to catch fire, (it was a small one down the tube, so there was limited Oxygen for good ignition). The larger ones that are packed better catch well. I made my own fuses/wicks out of a twin and my own alcohol solution.

I have an SUV and am wondering if I should bother to stop at the carpool.  I could take two people, not for free.  Would anyone be interested?

Can't wait!

The smoke grenades did not have a shipping fee for hazmat, it was just normal shipping last time I got some.

Psc had a great time, the second half was the best. After spending 5k on bribing the free stalkers we ended up with 15k. Thanks for the great game count us in for the next.
