Here's something I've discovered... if you only need a couple things and they fit comfortably on a belt, there's no reason to run a vest, really. I run an M249. I don't carry any mags, I don't own any grenades. Most games I play, nobody uses their radio, so I just end up leaving my whole vest rig in the staging area. The only thing that I'm missing out on without a vest is hydration, but I just drink in between matches. You want high-speed-low-drag, that's about as low-drag as you can get.

Plus one on that. Most guys wear WAY too much crap. I think its more for making themselves feel "military" but really, a plate carrier?
Get something like a battle belt, a dump pouch and a two-mag holder -pistol maybe, and your good for most anything but a Big OP.

If you still want to get a vest or chest rig thats light weight but can carry the basic essentials just run something like this:

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_96&products_id=9003

that one has a built in hydration carrier.

or something like this

Chest rigs, or those front zip 6 mag, OEtech Light Recon Vest are pretty highspeed low drag built in molle in the back. At bigger games, personally I run a mix between a gear whore and lightweight. Battlebelt with dump pouch, and canteen. Then my platecarrier with 6mag carrier, admin pouch, and utility pouch. Usually players use the extra storage for bbs, snacks, tools, and extra water. You really dont need much when playing FOF games out here, just something to hold a few mags, extra bbs, and some water.

I used to run something similar to that NC Star rig, it had what you needed for the bare essentials, i.e. water and mags. But I agree with mooncruiser, a lot of people tend to overpack for a simple game, even big ops I see people try to cram in gear and supplies like its the apocalypse. I was guilty of that at my first Lion Claws, I was a SAW gunner but I packed on an extra 30-40 lbs. of gear that just slowed me down and killed my endurance.

That vest is a POS. If you put anything on the MOLLE it will peal away the velcro. Useless for utility, and if you are going for some super squirrel delta look the molle thrown on it negates the authenticity.

Or you could always run a ALICE LBV. I love my vest and it holds everything that I need. It's lightweight and very comfortable. And CHEAP!

I run one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USGI-MB-MOLLE-II-ACU-FLC-Vest-NEW-/390386643826?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5ae4db7372 I like it a lot. Plenty of room for the stuff I need.... I wear a camelback on top of it comfortably..... Also they're cheap if you look harder. I got mine for 15. Just search Fighting Load Carrier.
