Hatfield AO questions
« on: February 08, 2012, 07:24:08 PM »
I had some questions about hatfield that hopefully someone could answer.
1. I wanted to know if it's safe to play there as in legal ( 1 time someone has called the police cause I was playing airsoft with some friends in a wash etc)
2. How is maintained?
3.is it to the right or left if your in the intersection that leads or is going away from target?
4.where is parking and the playing field?

These are my questions and thanks for the people who can answer them

As far I know its legal. I have yet to see any snakes/wildlife. So if you watch out for thorns (lots of those) and holes, its pretty safe. If your coming from happy valley its the first right before the Jomax plant.(you should see cars from the road) If your coming from Deer valley/ williams, its the turnoff past the Jomax plant on the left. The dirt road is just before this electrical fence box thingy. Park with the other cars and the surrounding desert is your field. if you hear cars you've gone close to out of bounds. and the open areas on the left side is basically the edge. if you see an open stretch of land at the back, this ares ok but if you can see the bridge of Happy valley you went too far. Hope this helps
I use to airsoft, then I took a BB to the knee.

It is safe to play there. There are games hosted there just about every weekend. If the police do show up and ask you to leave, please do so. They have not showed up before when I played there.

It's an unused field so there are snake holes and random spots that will colapse if enough wait is put on it. There is some barbwire in certain areas so be careful where you lay down or crouch.

There is a game being hosted there this Sunday by Saguaro. If you want to check out the field this is a perfect oppurtunity to do so.

I have been playing there with saguaro for a year now and haven't had any problems over there. Just come in out and have some fun.

No crapper anywhere. Closest is half mile east, more or less.

If you have to pee just pee in a bush away from the playing field. People give you privacy and its not gonna hurt anything.

The games hosted by Suguaro usually have a time limit and we play multiple games during the day. People stop playing whenever they leave the field.
