only 23? thats pretty simple: deans, 11.1v lipo, and mosfet for reliability sake.

but if you want a solid 30 or more:
$8-lower spring (m110 or m100 depending on what you want)
$20-SHS 13:1 gears
$30-SHS HS motor
$5-deans
$10-11.1v lipo or 7.4v depending on the ROF you're looking for
$30-MOSFET (I know the DE and infected ones are good)
$0-DIY mods (correct AoE, get good compression, etc..)

I had a G&P M120 motor in a G&P M4 with a M120 spring and with a 9.6v battery it hit 20 RPS. 11.1v lipo hit 30 RPS. After opening up the gun I found that G&P removed two of the last teeth from the sector gear(factory short stroking right there) as well since it had such a short barrel. Doing that will also help improve RPS as long as you know what you are doing. Don't always assume a high speed motor will get you OMGWTFBBQ RPS. If using a 9.6v battery, it will more than likely take more than just a motor swap to break the 20 mark. I'm not saying it is impossible, but don't expect to drop in a high speed motor and hook up a 9.6v battery and get 25 rps. Wiring to deans connectors can make an improvement most of the time as well, but not always.
