New hatfield Sunday March 4th
« on: February 28, 2012, 04:51:13 PM »
I would like to get a game going this sunday at the new hatfield.  I can't make it to the game at MTT so if anyone wants to go my brother, friend and I will be up for it.

Guys, lets not hold a big game yet at the new feild yet... The game last week was a tester.... lets wait a while. We dont want to rush into the place. Ya know? I highly recromend we dont hold a game there for a little while till i can mark off the field and get official boundaries and so on.... I dont want this field to turn nto the old hatfield.  Lets keep games small and private for now We will get games out there soon but i dont want new people screwin it up and walking in to state land.

Thanks. Jacob schaeffer.

Sounds good.  Where will everyone be playing on Sunday then or is everyone going to MTT?

Good point. Are you going to make or mark a physical barrier to denote the State / BLM boundary? Considering how newbies show up often, it'll be too easy for them (and really, most others, too) to forget to not cross "that tree" or "that line of rocks".

Maybe some sort of hi-vis tape, or flags, or paint?

Yea. I was going to use bright pink duct tape. But paint is a good idea, but it could wear off.... Hmmm.... Which would be better? Bright tape or bright spray paint. Im thinking spray paint is better.... But yea, im going and marking the field sometime this week.

Whatever you do make sure its not construed as littering. That is a nice fine I wouldn't want to pay for.

Yes, this^. Don't use any artificial things like trash, tires, or pallets that could be viewed as illegal dumping. Hell, even relocating dead trees or branches might carry fire hazard issues.   ???

If you use paint (and I'm not saying you should or should not), don't paint words, letters, or symbols - that could be mistaken for graffiti or tampering with construction paint symbols.

maybe something non permanent like those fluorescent colored flags used for the flag game could suffice?

I'd suggest getting a couple bundles of surveyors wood stakes and use that.
