assuming your asking ways to up your RoF. That can be done a couple of ways. Usually just switching to a higher voltage battery will up it some. like going form a 8.4v to a 9.6v, or 9.6v to a 11.1v LiPo will make a big change.

Most common and simplist way is to upgrade to a high rpm motor. However it will ware a stock gearbox down a LOT faster. It is more than a good idea to upgrade internals to accomadate and assist in the speed increase. Like switching to metal internals to handle the abuse. Also try Short stroked gears and piston to increase cycling speeds. You may also want to lower your spring and settle with 350-370max FPS to allow the gun to shoot a lot faster without pushing its limits with a high tension spring.

There was once a time that all I wanted for my gun was a higher rate of fire.... then I realized that a real mp5 doesn't shoot at 30 rounds per second, and decided I was content where I am at, closer to the actual mp-5 rof of around 13rps. Just sayin.  ;)

I understand and respect that. Yet its a game where in situations RoF can be a very effective advantage. I love making my guns realistic but I also enjoy guns to triumph in the field against others.

really it all a matter of opinion. and it does get to a point where having a extra 50 bbs going to the guy who already called his hit. wasteful and useless. I think 20rps is perfect, and even more than necessary.

If you're the kind of milsimmer who runs 30-round mags, that makes perfect sense, but wanting a realistic 13rps is a bit ironic if you're running a 160rd hi-cap.

If you are going for High ROF consider a sector gear chip. These will allow the Magazines to keep up with the ROF.

Put in some faster ratio gears!(SHS 13:1) Couple that with a great motor, and you will be in the clear at 25-30rps

Or go ballz out and make a DSG build.

Just for reference though,

I have an m249 that shoots at 50rps
and
I have a Dragunov that shoots semi auto....

and they both get the same amount of kills! :D

All my field guns are between 15-25/7 rps, it really is the hop that makes all the difference. I would rather have one mag with a superbly tuned hopup, than 400 shots in a hose.

Lol I'm mostly giving plauge a hard time. I'll probably be buying an 11.1v lipo soon here cuz my current battery doesn't fit in the handguard. I do think though for a true milsim, 50rps and a hicap on a carbine sounds a little excessive.   :)
Plauge, check eBay for lipos, I've been watching some for around 7 bucks ...

Yeah the lipo I'm currently running is a 7.4v 5000mAh turnigy from Hobbyking. It's just really big. I think I'm gonna buy a couple of these next. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Triplets-Firefox-11-1v-3S-20c-1200mah-Lipo-Airsoft-gun-Battery-AKKU-25C-for-rc-/250997319753?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a709b2849

i wouldn't really recommend a policarb piston for high speed.
have spazz set you up with a purple shs piston with metal teeth. there amazing for the price. and i put just over 35 bags of bb's on one before it failed. but i beat the living crap out of it.

just remove tooth # 1.
that would be your best bet. Unless you go with a super-core type piston. your just going to get a failure on the catch tooth on the piston.

ROF does have its Plus's rather more then just unleashing a ton of bb's
people tend to stay the hell away from you when they hear your gun go BRRRRAAAAp.
i run a 416 at 72 rps, with the echo1 fat mags.
i will tell you that when i use it people tend to not come my way. its quite hilarious. But they also tend to bitch about being over killed from literally a 1 second burst.

my answer is simply why the hell not.

With the Matrix 3000 and an 11.1, I burned through a polycarb piston in under 1000 BBs. Just sayin'.
