KWA or ICS M14/M4

I have the opportunity to buy one and I'm wondering which is best out of box... I've seen great reviews on website for both, but anyone have any use of these brands?

I would love to hear some input, because this is going to be the first step for my direction into creating my collection.

If you believe neither of these brands are well off at all and you ask, "Why are you even choosing between these?!" than I would love the input and possible other options you might think.

KWA out of the 2 brands KWA is by far better in both the M14 and M4. now wether to get the M4 or M14 thats all you. i do know that KWA's M4s have issues using other brand mags including Magpul P-Mags so i might suggest a different brand M$ but i support their M14

yes, that was my fault. A lot of the links have it as M14 and the picture is in fact a M16.

Honestly JG is a pretty damn good company for starters. I'd say look around at ICS,Ares,G&G, and Echo1 to name some. But if you want pop up and have a good gun right away with no upgrades I'd go Kwa.

Don't be fooled by their "engineered to out perform" garbage. VFC and g&p are pretty much the same price and are better, easier to work with, and easier to upgrade

Upgrade to what end?  I tossed a tightbore in my SR10 and it was shooting lasers.  If people would stop replacing parts for the sake of replacing parts, there wouldn't be an issue.  You can't beat their out of the box performance which is exactly what the OP was asking about.

I will definitely enjoy upgrading down the road when I start to learn what it is I like over other things... My play style will affect the use of the gun as well. Going forward it seems it is KWA as a generally good starting gun. Of course everyone has an opinion because we all start with something different.

KWA's are great starting guns.  The catch is they aren't guns to tinker with.  If you want a gun to tinker with, you'd be better off going with something out.

I'm not too worried with tinkering like I said. I have to have some experience under my belt to even make tinkering necessary. I eventually will drop some money and just put together the best parts of certain things, like I have done with Cars and other things.

For now I think I've found my first gun!
