I'm still skeptical.  I would think this would make the problem worse. It's like how muskets were back in the day. Some rifled barrels would probably help more than this. I compare this to shooting a smaller caliber out of a larger and unrifled barrel. I could be wrong...

You can't compare a firearm to airsoft, the mechanics are totally different. Musket balls did not spin backwards as they traveled down the smooth bore.

I would like to see some long range, indoor, head to head results before I signed off.

Hersey of airsoft players counts for nothing in my book, because there is a lot of "pride of purchase" in this or that. People have claimed that the 6.01 barrels increase accuracy, where this states they would loose it.

it doesn't say it will loose accuracy though, its saying you loose potential fps from the 6.01 due to friction. it said that its just as accurate but, lacks the range of the newer larger bored barrel.

this isn't a new theory guys.. people that are really into bolt actions use larger bore barrels there more accurate and promote longer range. with a huge gush of air behind it, the bb is pretty much centered in the barrel and is forced that way.. only example i can think of is trying to stick a marble in ur garden hose when its on full blast. IF it even goes in, the water being force out behind it and around it will pretty much force it to the center of the hose.

and by being larger bored it causes the bb to not hit the inside diameter even more.

i haven't used a tight bore in any of my personal guns for years.. you just need to keep them clean and free of scratches and divots internaly and it will be just as accurate as any other barrel... i can prove that to anyone, heck its just one pin to remove the barrel on my m4

From the review posted previously:

As shown below, a standard diameter barrel will introduce some friction and path variation due to slight contact along the length of the barrel. This can have a significant impact on BB trajectory and accuracy.

If you can prove it, then do it. Though, if it is just as good as any other barrel then what is the point.

that's exactly what i am saying..

If you wanna see the proof  come out to a game, and ill try to be there. shit ill even let you tear the barrel out all the way to inspect it.
