Green Label PMAGS
« on: June 04, 2012, 04:48:00 PM »
Hey, i am making a big purchase and i am in need of some more mags, so i thought i should look at Pmags. They are $20 a peice and that is over my price range, then i saw the Green Label Pmags, they are about $10 a peice. What i am asking is, do they preform well? Or are they just some P.O.S Chinese stuff.

I have 10 of them and they feed awesome. Just don't over load them or the spring will jam.

I recently bought 10 of them and have used them in about 4-5 games to date.  So far they feed well, except one has jammed already and you can not take them apart to rebuild them. So once they fail, they are trash.  Another thing I don't like is they are really really light, I'm used too and prefer heavier mags.

One thing I really like about them is they only hold 75 rnds, which is much closer to the standard 68 rnd TM mags. For me the Magpul 120rnd midcaps are too high in capacity, when using one I rarely needed to reload during most fire fights. Mag changes is where the fun is at. I also like the more realistic timming of a full mag dump with the 68-75rnds.

Get some low-caps then. They are the best for realism and I think if you get enough they will do just fine. Although, ten mags equals one standard M4 High-cap, so...

Low caps are perfect for CQB applications, there's nothing better. But for field operations, I find that most people need 2-3 consecutive rounds to the chest to realize they have been hit. Secondly at mid to long engagement distances, the bb's tend to spread out more and to me a 2 to 1 ratio seems to be a good balance for the lack of accuracy at those ranges.  Thirdly, yes 10 of those mags would carry as much as one hi-cap but the point is, I have to perform 10 mag change outs as compared to none with the hi-cap.  I remember how much we all used to hate them but God how I wish we could all go back to loading rods, no more loading mags super fast with easy and convenient mag loaders. Sometimes I miss the old days.
