Lipo Batteries
« on: August 01, 2012, 04:34:15 PM »
Ok sorry if i am repeating a topic...haven't seen one for a long while. So my question, is hobbyking the best place to buy good cheap lipos? If so how much does shipping to the U.S. cost? If not, what are some other places that are better or just as good and whats the shipping there too?

Thanks guys!

Ebay is the best for online shopping for battery's. $20 can get you a 11.1v 2s/3s lipo.

No it won't.

In addition you can get that battery for half that price at HobbyKing's US warehouse.  In addition, given they deliberately took a picture you can't see the plug in, I'll bet it's a knock off Dean's connector anyways.  The charger is basically the LiPo equivalent of a trickle charger.  Do not want.  Not to mention they don't even include an AC adapter.  Once again no cheaper than HobbyKing.

Let me know if I can shoot any other holes in your suggestion.

Like you said it was just a suggestion...i have both products and they work flawlessly...i dont have a huge budget and 5 months ago this was a good deal. Does not seem like there is any resistance when using these "knock off" deans connectors. My ROF is about 22 BBPS using my stock CYMA moto. Players preference i guess.

You missed my point.  You can get that exact same battery for half the price from HobbyKing.  Not a similar battery, the SAME battery.

This is one of the best Lipos I've ever used for the price.

http://www.valuehobby.com/gforce-30c-2200mah-2s-7-4v-lipo.html

It will crank anything I've thrown at it, up to my 550fps aeg with ease even though its only 7.4v its such a high C/mah rating it really cranks out the amps.

You didn't specify what kind of lipo, 11.1 or 7.4.
