S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Freedom Rising
October 13th at SASCO AO

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

STALKER: Freedom Rising is the sequel to our succesful first game, Stalker: The Road to Pripyat. It is an upcoming scenario game to be hosted at SASCO AO this October 13th. Based off of the popular video game and film, Stalker takes place after the Chernobyl Nuclear disaster, with teams fighting for control in the irradiated "Zone". You can visit our Facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/groups/204125249657908/), and join to get on the spot updates about the game.

The Story Thus Far -

This game will focus heavily on the events near the end of the last game, with Freedom capturing the Military base, and the results of that. The fall of the Soviet Union will play a major role, with the Military faction crumbling, and without pay coming in from Moscow, falling into the role of guns for hire, while trying to regain control of the Military base.

With Freedom's new found territorial gains, they are extremely low on manpower for the amount of area they need to manage, and many Stalkers have fallen prey to Bandits who have been able to operate almost without any trouble from Freedom. Because of this, many Stalkers have begun to side with Duty, who they believe would protect them from the nonstop attacks. Others are staunchly against that idea, and believe siding with Freedom is the only way to make the Zone safer, while others simply side with whomever is willing to pay.

And so begins the next chapter in the STALKER Airsoft Arizona story, "STALKER: Freedom Rising".

Concept -

Players will be a member of a Faction, with each Faction having a base of operations where the team's Money is stored. It costs $100 (Game Money) per life, and as such each player must be carrying $100 to be "alive" in the game, when a player is killed, someone else can take their money off their "body". Money can be earned for the team by completing mission objectives, and can be used to bribe neutral factions to fight with you. Money can also be used to "purchase" full auto, nobody, excluding the Military, starts being allowed to use full auto fire, it must be "purchased" first.

There will be a token game fee of $10 per player if you pre-order before October 1st, or $20 at the field thereafter, which will be used to cover the cost of props and such for the game.

Teams/Factions that will be fighting in The Road to Pripyat.

Free Stalkers (16+ Players)
-The average Stalker, just looking to get by in the Zone, while trying to make a quick buck. Quick to flee a fight, but ready to defend their fellow loners out there in the Zone.
Uniforms - Street Clothes
Missions
Find and sell Artifacts
Protect fellow Free Stalkers from Bandits and the like

Bandits (8+ Players)
-Criminals who came to the Zone looking for their fortune, or just trying to avoid jail time. They often rob Stalkers of their treasures and leave them for dead. Because of their tactics, almost all factions hate them, but most don't have the time to deal with them.
Uniforms -  Street Clothes/Black Jackets/Black Hoodies
Missions
Steal Money and Artifacts from Free Stalkers
Disrupt the work of Freedom

Military Stalkers (6-8 Players)
-Government soldiers trained to protect the integrity of the Zone from outside elements, notably, Stalkers trying to sneak in. They want to reach Pripyat to prevent Monolith from completing their weapon designs.
Uniforms - Russian Camo (Requires AEG or Rifle)
Missions
Eliminate any resistance
Recapture the Military Base

Duty (10 Players)
-A mix of Ex Military, experienced Stalkers, who turned to believe that the Zone was a plague that needed to be contained and wiped out, they believe the Zone should be destroyed. While many Stalkers support them due to their hard stance against the Bandits, Duty can often be arrogant and stubborn trying to impose its ideology on everyone. They are the Arch enemy of the Freedom.
Uniforms - Woodland Camo
Missions
Capture the Military Base from Freedom
Disrupt Freedom Operations
Prevent the Bandits from operating in their territory.
Purchase Artifacts from the Stalkers.

Freedom (10 Players)
-At times they may look like a ragtag force of anarchists, vigilantes, and daredevils, but they fight to make the Zone a free place for everyone. They are very supportive of the Stalkers, who in turn often support them, but with their capture of the military base, it's becoming hard for them to properly patrol such a large territory, and many Stalkers are beginning to turn away, they will have to work hard to prevent that from happening. They are the arch enemy of the Duty.
Uniforms - Desert Camo
Missions
Protect the Military Base
Disrupt Duty Operations
Prevent the Bandits from harming Stalkers.
Purchase Artifacts from the Stalkers.

Dark Stalkers (5 Players)
-An an extremely hostile cult composed of Stalkers who have spent to much time deep in the Zone. They believe that the Zone is a divine force and everyone must be purged from it. They will use all means necessary to kill anyone they capture who is carrying artifacts or straying to far into the Zone.
Missions
Stop the removal of Artifacts from the Zone.
Prevent anyone from entering Pripyat.

I don't know if you have ever hosted a game or not but trust me the costs of props and game surplus adds up really fast. We almost spent a grand on hold war and that's before paying fightertown to use there property

I would say a game having its own currency system is pretty "legit as hell". Why don't you come and see for yourself man? :)

And suddenly the game gets all that much more interesting.

Darr, does the 500FPS rule apply only to bolt-action snipers, or could an AEG/GBB rifle also qualify if it's semi-auto only and abides by minimum engagement distance rules? I'm thinking, like, SVD or M110.

Team Bandit will be there again!

Yes, all good.

Mid caps only?

Unless you're using an RPK, SAW, etc., yes.

As long as it is used only well within the engagement distance rules, then yeah that'd be fine.

Pre-register is open, the Paypal buttons will take you to the "payment" thing where when you pay I'll add you to the list.
