Hey I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to come out to The Sandbox this weekend. I know with all the rain people thought the roads would be in terrible shape, but actually getting to the property was quite easy, and as a bonus we got just enough rain to keep the dust down. Even with all the people who cancelled for various reasons, we still had a good turn out and I think most everyone was exhausted by the end of Mission 3.
Now to sum up the event -
Mission 1: Navy SEALs teamed up with the Syrian rebels to launch a massive assault on the Syrian military headquarters. The compound fell quickly and the Syrian Army was unable to recapture it for the rest of the mission and were forced to retreat to the prison.
Mission 2: After the Navy SEALs helped the rebels capture the military headquarters, the rebels informed them that the missing CIA agent was being held captive in the prison. The SEALs launched a raid on the prison, but were unable to rescue the agent. It appears, several rebels snagged the agent from the prison during the heated battle and he was seen being carried off by several Al Qaeda operatives to their safe house.
Mission 3: After the fall of the prison, the Syrian Army fled Damascus in a panic. Arial reconnaissance indicates the remnants of the Syrian army fled into neighboring Jordan and were last reported eating their last supper at Denny's. With the removal of Syrian troops from the capitol, the Syrian rebels controlled the city and Al Qaeda operatives had a safe house of their own to run operations. The SEALs decided to launch an assault on this compound to recover the CIA agent, eliminate the Al Qaeda operatives, and recover any intel. After a heated battle lasting nearly forty minutes, the SEALs finally gained access to the safe house. One brave SEAL managed to knock down a barricade and roll a grenade into the safe house and take out 4 of the 8 Al Qaeda operatives. The safe house fell shortly, as the remaining 4 terrorists were overwhelmed within a matter of minutes. The SEALs quickly searched the safe house, but were unable to locate the CIA agent, but they did manage to recover a laptop computer with highly detailed plans indicating Al Qaeda operatives were planning to steal chemical weapons from a nearby bunker and smuggle them out of the country to be used in future terrorist attacks against western targets. After retrieving the laptop, the SEALs quickly made their way out of the city to their extraction point. Unfortunately most of the SEALs were killed repelling a series of assaults from rebels and Al Qaeda sympathizers while hunkered down in a series of trenches while waiting for the helicopters to pick them up, but 2 SEALs did managed to survive long enough to be rescued with the laptop and the valuable intel contained within.
