New to the forums but not to airsoft
« on: May 29, 2013, 09:43:53 PM »
Hi everyone my name is Alex I've decided to get back into airsoft after a 4 year hiatus, and I figure this is a pretty good place to start. I'm 24 years old and live in Tempe, I started playing airsoft when I was about 14 years old and played all the way up till I was a freshman in college, and then my priorities changed. Now I want to get back into it, because I have a bunch of free time for a new hobby, and airsoft is awesome. I currently only have one rifle, it is a Tanaka Works Mauser Kar98K with a replica ZF41 marksman site and may be picking up something new here in the next couple months, because my Mauser tended to cause a lot of trouble in the past with FPS restrictions and I'd rather not cause problems. Anyway I'm excited to go to my first event, and any help on what airsoft gun brands to avoid purchasing nowadays would be greatly appreciated.

Nice to meet you, since you said something about FPS restrictions, do you play CQB the most? I'm not really familiar with your rifle, but are you saying that it might also be too hot for field? Also, most brands are good as long as you upgrade them, such as if you upgrade the crap out of a G&G Combat Machine, you can get the same performance if not better than a Systema or something way up there, for a lot cheaper.
