Looking for AN/PVS 5 NVG's
« on: June 02, 2013, 10:49:24 PM »
Besides getting gear for airsofting, I collect older military gear (and soon camos from other countries, once I can deal with the shipping costs).  I've been scouting around for some interesting night vision goggles that arent PVS 7's for a while now, and I just stumbled upon the PVS 5's, and I'm wondering if there is anywhere I might be able to find a pair.  Already hit up google to no avail except one hit on Ebay, but I like to know what I'm paying is a good price, and it seemed just a tad high for Gen2 tubes.

They were made by Litton at Tempe, and ITT back East in the 70's. The Image Intensifier tubes were pretty unreliable then, so you might not want to buy any sight unseen.

Thanks moon!  I'll keep that in mind!  I prefer to buy local anyways, so I was hoping to find a set floating around Phoenix somewhere.
