Whats the reason for the orange tape?
Oro Valley ordinance requires a "brightly colored tip, similar to" (but not exactly like) "that required by federal law." Federal law only requires the tip when transporting the airsoft gun. In the spirit of the law, and its intent, we are putting a thin piece of orange tape around the supressor.
The ordinance also requires that we:
1. Don't shoot within 100' of a house. (no prob there)
2. Use eye pro. (dumb if you don't).
3. Use bio bb's. (No different than LC).
4. Bright colored tip. (Tape)
The field is huge. Much larger than SASCO. Parking area is 30+ vehicles. We improved the access road, removed hazzards, and cleared brush wide enough so that vehicles will not touch anything. Low clearence cars like my Aveo has no issues with it. Its like throwing a hotdog down a hallway.
The area that we are using is hard to fight in, but the "Battlefield" AO will give no advantage to either side. I encourage everyone to climb Iron Drum hill and survey the field pro to game start.
