Heroes and Vanguard suck.

Sector9 and Command Post ftw.

TAP has a decent shop for the basics, if you can't get to Sector9.

That is all.

I wouldn't say Vanguard sucks. there Decent and have decent honest techs.

As for Heroes. They Over Price Everything. hell my brother bought me a Kwa 1911 there FOR 200 DOLLARS WHEN it was only 150 online.  Not to mention i was there one day and Saw a father buying there kid a Kwa pistol. And when they asked for a Extra mag too  buy for the kids pistol. The Service Rep didn't give em the correct mag. Instead he gave em a WE MAG.  Now ill admit not all the staff at Heroes are that incompetent . The Girl that works there is quite nice and friendly.

Now for me the real good Airsoft store was Gearbox when it was still around. IT was just a bus ride up from my work and home. I really wished They never went out of Business.

However I noticed recently when searching for airsoft Smoke Grenades online.  I ran into darkstar Paintball http://www.darkstarpaintball.com/Default.asp there On Alma school and Warner. A bit north of Guns & Etc. I was wondering if anyone knows about them.  It looks like they recently got into the Airsoft market.  I personally may swing By there on one of my regular runs in the area and check on em my self.

While overpriced, Heroes is one of the few distributors linked up with Spartan imports in the valley. If you need Parts for Classic army you cant buy, you have to go through them, or APD I believe.

It's the only store I would buy my stuff from. Even if they have to order for me.

Darkstar has been selling for maybe 3 or 4 months now I wouldn't go straight to them for gun repairs just yet but give them time. They have been selling paintball gear for about 9 or 10 years

Sector9 is where I go more often than not. Great staff. Decent selection. 5 mins away for me.
I think Vanguard is way too high priced on top of the drive for me.
Command Post I will sometimes stop into.  Not a crazy big selection but experienced/knowledgeable staff. Drive factor , a little far for me, although much closer than VIP.

Tell you the truth I don't really support any of the Arizona stores. I think there is too much bias opinion on here with what you guys are talking about.

Vanguards tech's are a joke. (I do my own work)
Tempe isn't really up and running so I cannot say much there. Though they have some decent prices for the stock they have.
Sector9 I wouldn't go to because it's clear on the other side of town for me. Things I have heard though is that it's really small  and also not a lot of stock. However that's just from what I have heard.
Same for APD but then again APD is also expensive and I don't trust the techs. (Used to go there back in the day)

I am normally about supporting local businesses but I have to say I lost my favorite Arizona store... Gearbox.

Now I just find what I need either ampedarisoft.com or ehobbyasia.com

But in all honesty it seems like this thread was more of a promotion for Sector 9 than it was about finding out opinions on local airsoft stores.  I know that some of the people that have responded on here have ties to Sector 9 as well.

Who is the best shop or local person to go to for gun repairs or tune ups? I live in Tucson and the only shop we have here is more of a paintball store than an airsoft store, and I don't really trust them with my guns, and they normally have no idea wtf they are talking about. I'm now considering sending my gun to phoenix for tune ups.

There are several good techs in the valley, Spazz is one of the very best, he is located at Command post in NW Phoenix...

Sector 9 is small
Heroes is overpriced
Command Post is fine
Vanguard is far but fine for my only visit due to location
IS THAT A FAMAS?
