came across this video tonight and have to side with the author that this guy is just taking care of businuess. the comments however make me realise how many people expect airsoft as we know it to be full of jerks, a** hats and cheaters. who else thinks this guy was just enjoying the tactical advantage of knowing what hes doing, and not just being a loud eliteist bully.

id play with this guy.

also, theres an issue with his engagement distance when switched to his sidearm.....my view was, sure he COULD have yelled bang....but there were multiple targets, all aware of his presance after he took the first group of squeezes. you yell bang in that situation its probably going to cause confusion of "Who youre yelling it at" and while youve yelled bang, the ones farther have already taken advantage of that second to fire upon you. shameless id say id have done it exactly as he did, and communicate why so long as its not retarded close....(i loved the jump he got pushing the cover down. perfect execution until he was hit)

I'd play with him too. Seems like he knows a thing or two and maybe I could learn a thing or two lol. Though I do kinda agree on the barrel shove at around 4:30 to be a bit excessive. Trying to work around the other side of the block might have worked just as well. That's really the only problem I saw with this guy. Idk what do you think about it kazfox?

The shot after the barrel shove looks close enough to me that I would have hesitated to take it.  Especially with his arm fully extended.

In my opinion I think this guy did nothing wrong. If it is a MILSIM game than this is to be expected. The enemy positioned themselves in a way that allowed him to manipulate the battlefield to his will. I though his range was fine, it was not point blank and there were multiple enemies who would have killded him if he called bang, like stated above.

In short, I'd be his cover anyday.

Well Xaviermace In hind sight now, looking back, id have not fully extended my reach, rather id have pushed the obstruction, backpedaled a bit while trying a bang so I could attempt to take cover if the call became compromised.

....but the factor of enemy taking a new position and getting a tactical advantage on me, I still think I may have took the shots. But I'm basing my opinion on the premise I don't know those players or how they might honor or react to such calls. Say if it were some local guys, id probably be more comfortable with an aim and bang. It's really a tough decision really. Trigger discipline is one of the more difficult habits to maintain when you cant predict the other players alittle.

This topic reminds me of one of the first times I played out here since moving from Ohio.  I do not find Knightmare's play objectionable and play very similar myself.  (An aside, he's a pretty cool dude, cant say that for the rest of his team though ) That's the "high normal" in Ohio.  I attended an open play out here and lit a dude up in what seemed to me a perfectly legit situation.  He got pissed and we had a slightly heated discussion.  I explained where I was coming from and apologized and it blew over.  Lesson learned though, the norms are different in different areas.  I think that Nat Ops have started to standardize things, but not everyone gets a chance to make them (or learn from them )
