I heard about the fire this evening but didn't think to much of it because they were basically saying they had it under control.  But I hope it doesn't effect BT.

I also heard the other day that they were closing part of the tonto national forest near roosevelt lake because of fire danger.I hope they don't decide to close areas near BT...that could screw our plans for T of A game.

Well, it might thin the area of some excess foliage.

Get your black and tan camo while you can!

Guys, it is on the other side of the high way. I saw footage, and caught a glimpse of the exit of BT (where you drive across to head back to Conaco, Wendys, MF HQ). Lets hope that some ambers or sparks jump the road. Theres a total of 5 hot shot crews working this. (Thats alot for a small fire IIRC)

Why would we hope that our field for this weekend burns down?

Hav, you do the same thing as me. You forget to proof read your post. Im also a horable speller to ad to it. But that is part of my charm, the girls love men who are hooked on phonics.

You guys are too much![:D]

But on a serious note, isn't it a good thing if some of the area is burned away?  It will prevent more serious fires in the near future, and encourage new growth.  All of that grassy brush and the thorny bushes are starting to get a bit out of control.  More than I remember from my early BT games, at least.

I guess it would be kind of cool to see BT "start over", with all new foliage.  As long as we get to play this Sunday, that is.

The problem is that ecologically for BT to start over it dosen't happen in a matter of a few years. By the time it would fully recover from something like that we all might be too old to be playing airsoft!

Yes I know we have some "seasoned" players [:D]

I was hooked on phonics, but I did the 12-step thing and now I'm clean.

Seriously though, we should probably have an alternate location lined up, it's not looking good.  I mean, it should be under control by then, but you never know, and it wouldn't take much to jump the highway and close the area.

Well for an alternate location I guess Lone Mountain would be the only choice unless everybody wants to drive up to Badger Springs or Prescott.
