Why seperate by TM and CA?  Why not just AEG's and then break it down by M4, M4 Commando, M16, AUG, P90, etc?

mainly becuase of the way you construct addons, its easier that way, and easier to keep track of.

I remember an airsoft HL mod way back when.  It only reached the Alpha stage, but was quasi-playable.  It had the airsoft sounds, some models, BB firing animations, and a hop-up that had to be adjusted.  Though it was only in alpha stage, it wasn't very fun because the range of the guns was very poor.

You're still not making sense.  You're going to duplicate for a TM M4, CA M4, ICS M4 with them  all being the same model?  Why, isn't that just making more work for no reason?

there will be differences in the guns. CAs will have a higher projectile volocity.also when i skin it i can put different texures, like an Armalite one, and colt, and so on. also models will be varied, different stocks, color variations(to represent metal bodies ect.). i'm also going to try to make a script that allows you to change springs for the ICS m4(based on the newer gearboxes).

I've never quite understood paintball or airsoft computer games.  Isn't that a simulation of a simulation?

If I'm going to pretend to be doing pretend things, I can think of other things I'd rather be pretending. [:P]

Paintball games I can understand. (like the various hl mods)

I just don't understand airsoft mods. It is just like the original, except the guns sound different, hold 10x as much ammo, and have no range.

exactly! no but you can make a script so when a player gets hit you hear him call "hit". and he would sit down, or be transported to a staging area where he can grab more BBs/mags stuff like that.

I have to agree with Raith here, and go a step further to say it's completely lame.  No offense, though.

If you want to pretend to be a trooper, play airsoft.  If you need to pretend to play airsoft, then you need a smack.  Why not just go out and do it?

Go ahead and criticize all you want, but I'm entitled to my opinion.

That said, it's way cool that you are making a mod.  Some of those models ain't bad, busta.  Not that I can do any better...

i understand that, azsarge. what do you do when you cant go out and play? what if its late at night? what if you are to tired to go play?  then you play the airsoft mod. besides you can actually play somewhere besides bushnell tanks, and out of arizona for that matter, hell out of the united states! you dont have to download it. i know someone will download and play it...
