You should move to west phx, around 13th and Van buren. Really nice people over there, great schools in that area as well. As far as airsoft, we play once a year sometimes twice. Most of the time we just talk politics and BS about new aegs out. I really hope this help bud, if you need anything at all, give me a call at 1-800-wrongsite. Good luck

HA! Tell me about it, brother.[8D]

Hey Biggie, you're new here, so let me take it easy on you. Don't ask stuff like "where should I live?" on an airsoft forum! As for games, just read our boards. You've made an impression on us already, so try to keep it sensible in the future, if you decide to stay that is.

Cheers[8D]

What do you plan on doing? MCC (Mesa Community College) Is pretty good from what I have heard, and I plan on attending there.

If you dont mind all the Walgreens and Mormons (No offense to any if you are on here) Gilbert is pretty nice too.

don't move to phx, move to surprise. that is where im moving. there is some great airsofting out there by the white tanks(close mountain). if you get a chance, look into surprise farms(my devolopment). i play at least once or twice a month, with airsoft addicts. then there is AA, but i have never been(waiting till i hit 18, or until i'm invited). this place sucks( in my opinion) so i'm sorry your moving here, but good airsoft people at least :)

Now that it's in the correct forum, it's actually not a bad topic. If I was going to move somewhere, I'd love to know the opinions of like-minded people. For those that feel compelled to post, at least make it something helpful. There's no need for negative comments to an adult who is a) interested in how we do the hobby out here, and b)has played for more years than most of us (Harley and I don't even have 4 years experience).

Now, on to advice: I'd say Chandler or Tempe. You'd be close to ASU. Tempe's got a better night life, but I grew up in Chandler and it's not bad at all. Plus, the houses way to the east are really cheap for a big house and lots of land. AA games are far from anywhere in the valley unless you own a helicopter, so just be prepared for a drive for the monthly AA games. NonAA games tend to be closer, but are a lot less organized. Also, the airsoft addicts games are self-admittedly more entry level (though not a bad group of guys at all), whereas AA is about as hardcore milsim as it gets in the state. We're a big group, one of the bigger in the country and probably one of the best. You're in the right place. Just watch out for summer. In terms of teams, we don't really organize our games around teams, though friends/teams can normally stick together at the monthly games. We're more about airsoft unity and represent AZ as a state when we go to big ops. You're welcome to form a team, but for the most part they're mostly for training and small-scale skirmishes. Hope that helps.

You really should talk to a realtor about cost of living and house prices. They can give you something more than just opinions.

EDIT: UofA is probably the best education for most subjects in AZ, but it is in Tucson (sorry SWAIRTAC et al). Tucson's far from everything, though Fatal Exception and SWAIRTAC (Tucson teams) do have some cool playing sites down there.

no problem, i figured that i wouldn't find better opinions of where to live than from people that live there.

same thing happens out here in chicago as far as teams. we have teams for the training and smaller ops, but we normally work together as the Chicago Airsoft Association when we go out of state for large ops.

i'm a pre-law major, planning on going into large scale crisis/natural disaster management (think FEMA).

my BS detector is a bit out as normal on forums that i'm not used to...if someone could reiterate, what would be a good part of PHX to move to in addition to Tempe and Chandler. i will need to add to the "list of places to check out". mostly which "direction" of travel from the city center will be a good place? i'm looking for close to nite life yet not ON TOP of bars.

It all depends on what your finances can afford and how far you like to drive and spend time in your car. Phoenix is BIG and it can take you over an hour on average to get from one side to the other and that's on the interstates. Figure out what college you want to attend and go from there is my advice. You have Arizona State University with 3 campuses, West, main in Tempe, and East. You have the Maricopa county community colleges, Glendale, Mesa, Maricopa. Then there are the business colleges as well. Some of us prefer the East side, some prefer the West side, and others prefer the north areas like Scottsdale and Deer Valley. Where ever you live be prepared to deal with lots of idiot drivers, (Phoenix is ranked the # 1 city of red light runners in the US). You're from Chicago so you know what heavy traffic and long drives are like.

This really doesn't have much to do with his question HavHav. Gilbert is a nice area to live in. How many bar's a neighborhood has is not very indicitive of how boring the area is. Of course being that you're 16 and have a life time of experience in this area who better to give advice... correct???
