Great. I hate to say this, but I hope its for SAD rather than general awareness if I had to choose one of them. God, this isn't looking good.

Ive heard it.It was a commercial for softair depot. It was on 101.5 the zone.It was something like this."Hey dad lets go play with our softair guns and shoot each other in the balls" "Ha,Ha son that might feel kinda good","They are safer than a pellet or real BB guns","Your mom won't get mad and cut me off for the night cuz' my nads hurt" "These softair BBs can't hurt balls of steel!"
That was what I heard...I swear! It was about this lame wanna be airsoft store in scottsdale called softair depot.

Hey Shifty, about what time did you hear that comercial? I listen to zone every night and I haven't heard it yet. I would like to hear the commercial myself, to see how bad it really is and how poorly it portrays the hobby. Thanks in advance.

Just remember this! If Kids are buying from SoftAir they most likly dont have the money to get a Classic Army or an ICS. I dont think that we have to worry at all. Actually this comercial might help! Because the more buyers from SoftAir Equal the more chances something can happen, which means a Lawsuit on SoftAir

Although it may detract kids from buying high-end AEGs, they will be running around with these, and SAD will get there asses sued. I guarantee it. Some kid will shoot a friend in the eye, and the parents will sue for A LOT of money. But SAD will most likley try to drag us down as it goes down the crapper.

Professional groups like AA have made their position clear, anyone who sees these forums knows we are opposed to SAD in the utmost. Only if they hit Airsoft on a broader level will we be affected.

Looks like Big Five is starting to get in on the act with various versions of "Soft air" a little above the mini aeg's and springer pistols they've sold in the past.  Still looks like junk though.  I'm curious to see what would happen if they started selling some of the good stuff.  The Big Five stores I've seen seem pretty intent on adhering to age requirements.

I am a littler nervous about seeing this stuff go mainstream but it sure would be nice to have a few more people involved.

Big five has had airsoft there for quite a while (years maybe). Along with galyans (REI type store back east) they have been selling springers and mini AEGs for some time.

Most sporting goods stores that carry bb guns carry cheap springers. I have seen them in a number of places. Dollar stores too.

I am glad I found and heard of AA before I ran off and got interested in SoftAir's version of the sport. Look how low my posts are, a few days may have made the difference of me going to the swap meet!
