HS!500 for an AEG! pointless
you only need like 400 man. use a PDI210 and you should be good to go. i dont know about any other parts, maybe jsut a better battery, or a high torque motor for that wicked spring.



fergot something: dont forget bushings and a re-inforced gearbox if you dont use a CA.

No it wasn't working beforehand.  It was shooting at a very low FPS and "overheating" after about 400 rounds.  I had a feeling that the gears were binding, so I upgraeded them, then since I was buying those I figured I would just do a full gearbox upgrade, excluding the body.  Then we got all those in and it was blowing fuses, then I shimmed it and it stopped but it was only firing about 18 rounds before overheating, so then I figured about the only thing left was the body, got that from scott and after a lot of fiddeling, breaking the new air seal nozzle somehow, it worked.  Played at the game on Sunday, but it only cronoed at 300 for some damn reason.

If you're going the 500fps route then you need to absolutly make sure the gun can only fire in semi auto mode.  To fall under the AA sniper rifle catagory it has to be a bolt action or semi auto only firing weapon.  Definitely use the Classic Army gear box, I doubt the TM unit will hold up under the pounding the spring you'll need to run will give it.  Probably a PDI 210% spring will put you in the right area.

Johns got it, your gearbox needs to be a CA reinforced to with hold all that pressure from the spring.  There are some reviews about the upgrades somewhere on the internet, look around you might find some more useful info that you didn't get here if it comes to that.

Well im going to do the same thing with my SPR and im going to get a reinforced gearbox, super high torqe gears, silent piston head, bore up cylinder some other stuff to make sure that my lil baby wont break.

Your my first target Farslayer  (LOL). yes, I understand and do agree with removing the F/A
I just wanted the best spring piston combo to reach my 500fps goal, I am not out to hurt anyone. i just want the extra 25-35 feet range.  also I will be carrying my Mac 11 when I do snipe just for the close encounters (under 50 feet away)

please keep the info rolling.....

seems like every game that I have played so far we have one or two guys that taunt at 125-150 feet away
well I want to end that with 150+ feet snipe

I hope those links helped you out. I always thought that SR25s and other M4 variants looked really sweet when made into more of a sniper platform. Here is yet another cool link that I found;
