I also think it was stupid to go against the UN in the first place when we got into Iraq. However we need to keep Bush in office because he seems to be handling things to the best of his ability, while Kerry would not know how to handle the situation.

PhxDemon I'm currently here in Iraq, and asmuch as I hate being here, I don't think it was a mistake at all. Maybe way undersold, and shaky on the reasons given, but not a mistake to liberate these people. Everyday I see Iraqi's and tey are almost entirely supportive of the USA and Coilition Forces that have liberated and are helping to rebuild the country. Yes I said almost all, there will always be that minority that doesn't agree, or want what the majority wants, but the greatest freedom we have been givin as US Citizens is the right to vote, and the majority rule. It is what keeps tin pot dictators from running rampant over us.
The key question in this election is this "do you want a president that switches sides with the political winds, or one that stands with his beliefs thru the short term political storm?" Kerry has a history of doing what ever gets him public favor at that moment, not (to quote Mr Bush) "staying the course" over the long term. Kerry is currently touting hisself as a Veitnam War "HERO", yet when he came home from his short tour he did everything he could to undermine support for fellow soldiers, and support the propaganda war in the Veit theater against US troops. I have read letters and Articles from Veitnam Vets that claim that the "hero" really wasn't, and the claims of bravery under fire while commanding a PT boat, were of events that happened BEFORE he took command of the boat.
So It all boils down to who you believe, someone who is trying his best to buy your vote with slick stories of his "Hero" status, or the guy who hardly talks about his time in Uniform, and just lets his ast actions speak for him?
