I played the game last night and WoW is it awesome!!!
I ran it at 1024x768 2aa 2af and mid gfx and it ran pretty smooth on my 9700 pro.

I love how you see dead people laying there, walk up to them, knowing they are going to get up, then  totally jump when they spring up and lash at your face.  I love this game, was up til 3am playing it, even though I had to be to work by 7.

Okay since you guys have been playing it a while. . . Anyone get that Locker with the Martian Buddy open?  Instead of cheating and going online to find codes, I just started working on the lockers I did not have codes for and the only one I could not get open was the martian one.  It does not show you how many numbers are in the code so it is hard to crack.  Anyone figure that one out?

I love spotting a leg sticking around the corner, pulling out the pistol and popping a few rounds in an unsuspecting demon.  Of course they never stand still long.

It isn't cheating to go online to look for the martian buddy code. That is how ID intended you to find the code. One of the pieces of spam you find tells you to go to http://www.martianbuddy.com- a site made by ID. The code is on that site...

ID also made a website for UAC- http://www.ua-corp.com

It is nice to have multiple computers running so you don't have to exit the game to check the webiste [8D]

I don't know if I even want to buy doom 3. I have had it up to here ::points to nose:: with those dark games.
That's why I liked/ hated farcry so much. You finally get a game with some nice open areas to have fire fights and do a little manuvering, then for the other half of the game you're stuck in constricted 1 way passages where the only test is whether you can make headshots before all the mosters reach you.
I'm usually more attracted to the multiplayer games because they always have lots of room run around.

Also, doom 3 isn't multiplayer is it? Are there going to be MP mods?

I read somewhere that in one of the lockers near Delta labs there is a BFG.  I did not find it either.

Doom 3 does have multiplayer, but I have not tried it yet.  By the time I got logged onto a server it was full.  Also I have not seen a server larger than 4 vs 4 yet.

Doom 3 has built in 4 player MP. HOwever there are already mods to make the game Co-Op, and to make it playable for up to 32 players at one time.

The one security guy's log says he has one in his room and he gives the door code, but I didn't find the door.

I just got to the point where you get the chainsaw.

I heard that the locker with the BFG is way later in the game. I just reached Delta Labs, and still havn't found it. I guess I'll have to dig through my PDA's when I get to the locker, and find the code [:P]

i actualy remember the audio file that mentioned the BFG being locked in a locker... im fairly sure it had the code, and it was picked up somewhere in Alpha labs (the file was that is... not the gun itself).

The locker near where the guy said the gun was in it . . . when I heard that log I opened the locker there and that is where I got the normal machinegun thing.  I did not find anything real cool there.
