Does your neighbor have really tight underware on?[xx(]
If you gun is shot in a safe direction and your nosey neighbors don't care, you shouldn't have a problem. Unless their underware is really tight.

the only law that applies for airsoft guns is that if used like a real weapon, say u hold up a gas station with it then it is considered a real weapon.

Dont take it out front, and dont let her find a single bb anywhere, make sure they all end up in your yard, and Im sure you wont have any trouble.

Frankly, I wouldn't shoot it in your yard if one of your neighbors dosen't like it. If they get pissed and call the cops you're the offender. And if you're under 18 then your parents get hit...

It depends on your towns laws, not all are the same.  Even firing a BB gun in some city/town limits is against the law.  Best bet, call the local police and ask them if it's cool to shoot your BB gun in your backyard or not?

If your gun is realistic in appearance, it is a good idea to talk to your neighbors and let them know they are not real guns. Offer to show the replica to them. Be nice, be polite, and be respectful. This should be done BEFORE shooting the replicas in the yard.
Since you will most likely live by your neighbors for a number of years, it is always a good idea to be friendly with them instead of having them not like you or wonder if you are selling drugs out of your house. (Not a far leap for some from "he has guns" to "he must sell drugs")
After all, no one is going to want a swat team to kick in their front door because the neighbors saw "some kid" playing with "machine guns" in the yard.
Perception is everything. Work to give them a positive mindset of you and it will go far.

According to the US Code (which specifically mentions airsoft), toy guns can't be sold, transported, etc., without the obligatory orange tip. I've read the passage.

Not sure how that applies to us, due to the legalese.

Again though, check with your local authorities on how they feel about it.

The orange tip is not necessary in Arizona once you have ownership of the Airsoft gun.  Paco posted that information some time back.  In some states like Kalifornia it is required.  But like it's been mentioned, let you neighbors know what you're doing so they don't freak out and call the SWAT team on you.

For example, Chandler:

11-6. Possession, discharge or carrying of weapons other than firearmsockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"><font color="red">Q: What is the age requirement?
A: It will be 14 years of age. NO Exceptions!
Also, any one under 18 will need to have a
parent sign the liability waiver. (It was 16
years of age, but we have decided to change
it).
</font id="red"><hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">
And second, the date change.  It mentions a date change to January, but not the exact day.  That would be nice to know for those traveling out of state.  Doesn't look very stable to me.

I think this event is tailored for more local players - Central Cali, as more a regular game much like our own monthly games, at a place that requires payment for use of the land/facilities.  Hence the low registration fee ($25), the age limit of 14, the sub par web site (I know, not everybody can have really cool web sites), and the complete lack of sponsors.  I don't mean sound like I am bad talking them, just expressing a few concerns of my own.

Law with airsoft?
« Reply #9 on: August 20, 2004, 05:44:07 AM »
The other day I was shooting in my backyard with my Gbb which didnt have a orange tip. My neighbor yelled from her house, "You know shooting guns is illegal." I was just curious what the law states for airsoft guns.
