Don't worry, when OBL tries to buy an AK, NICS will catch him!

This carbine has also been fitted with the Knights Armament Rail System. This is a system used by U.S. Special Forces to attach accessories like night vision and laser sighting gear. In this more mundane civilian copy, it simply has a forward grip to help aim the rifle but if the owner could afford the $10,000 or more worth of gear he could also attach it to the rifle legally.

I AM worried now. The Anti-Gunners have just taken a huge hit but now they have the AWB in the public spotlight. Public opinion is a bad thing for us on the AWB because nobody understands it. I'm worried that it won't be too long before we have a worse bill up for a vote. I know the brady campaign or someone has tried to propose a replacement that is based on the CA AWB (which is about the same but only allows for ONE of the evil features).

It's inevitable that they will probably pass another one that is more restrictive than the last one and soon.  Like I've said before, buy what you want now, because next year you most likey won't be able to.

Right now there is a renewal of the ban stuck in committee.  Is that the same as the '94 ban or does it include the stricter criteria for defining assault weapons (and permanent status)?
