All depends on your perspective, of course.  I think the new California law pertaining to airsoft is unfortunate.  I also don't like what the California State Legislature has done with laws pertaining to real firearms.  On the other hand, Arizona still treats kids busted with a joint or a friggen cannabis pipe as felons.  I mean, how primitive is that?  I'm not trying to drift off the subject at hand, but one must keep their perspective before they start insisting that their State is better than another.

im not too worried about airsoft in kali; im more worried about our gov. people here wantting to follow "terminator's" idea and banning it here....to my knowledge, which isnt much,the only places ive played at personally were all public places..:-(

Well, i consider airoft a sport, and a hobby. Im pretty sure airsoft will still livein CA. This bill seems to affect airsoft, but in reality it doesnt, in my opinion. That would be kinda awesome if the JT headquaters moved to AZ.


Oh, and just had to say Omegas quote "this is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine" is not his quote. It comes from a peom called the "creed of a US Marine"(yeah i know that was off topic). Damn plagerizers(sp)!

really Ian i don't think anyone else in here knew that thanks for the info bud lol i really hope that this new law in cali doesn't mess things up to bad for the guys over there but by the looks of things and with some of the stipulations in the law i think that they may be able to make it over there but only time will tell

My apologies to Paco in advance if it seems that I am veering off the beaten path again.  But, it strikes me as ironic that many of you are appalled at the California Legislature for infringing upon the U.S. Constitution in their battle against what they perceive as domestic terrorism in the form of gun violence yet you look the other way when your President infringes upon that very same Constitution in the Federal quest against terrorism. (Re: “Patriotâ€￾ Acts and subsequent similar legislation, oh, just wait until you see the new one the Republicans are pushing through the House).  Indeed, many of you Arizonans don't simply look the other way when the President wipes his ass with our Constitution and Bill of Rights, you give him your FULL SUPPORT and tell us GOD is on his side.

Sorry, but I think I feel the bile rising in my throat.  But it needed to be said.  We're talking about the documents we as Americans hold most sacred.

Well, im not sure if this is completely true but one of my airsofting buddies reported to me that this thing is a "hoax". I dunno, maybe he just thinks he knows everything.

A "hoax"?  Well, if it's a "hoax" then someone in the CA gov't is in on it (as well as the media, and the CA governor) since he signed it, the link to the actual text of the law appears on the offical CA gov state site, and the media reported it all.  Sounds like your friend is just in denial.  [:p]

The point of the law was to stop stupid kids from running around thier neighborhoods, local parks and schools, shooting eachother with springers. Even with how incredibly obvious it is as to how patently stupid that behavior is, they still did it...and its a matter of time before a kid gets shot and killed for having a springer in public. As to the organized games on private land, I just don't see it being a problem.

Thanks Haji.  This is exactly what we keep trying to preach to the younger guys on this forum.  Stop thinking that it's OK and cool to play your Airsoft games out in public, ie the park across the street, or up on your rooftop.  It only takes one time for some kid to get shot by a cop who's instictive reaction is to save his own life by taking yours if he feels threatened to jepordize Airsoft in our state.
