I can comprehend it Paco.  It was being sarcastic to your last line.  To try and change the legal adult age is impossible by writing to our state's legislators.  The letter would just get thrown out and never be read, and if it was read, it would still be thrown out.  I agree with AA.  I think 18+ is fine, and if you are under, cool, you just have to have a legal guardian in the staging area.  I do not want AA shut down because a kid takes off his goggles and sues everyone.
Havhav, we are not all stupid.  But I guess if you mean we make mistakes, we do.  As well as all Homosapians.  So if you are of this human race, you will make a mistake.

I was a teenager once. No, really.  I did all sorts of things that would be considered unsafe...I lit off .22 blanks with matches, lit firecrackers in my model Helos to simulate rocket hits, mixed all sorts of alcoholic beverages in a canteen so my folks wouldn't notice the little bit of booze taken from each one.  Heck, I even had an rifle in my car when I was 16...and no, my folks didn't know about it.  Talk about a pucker factor the friday night I got pulled over.

But guess who would have gotten in trouble if I'd done something "stupid".  My folks.

Or the parents of the folks at whose home I was visiting.

Maturity (or lack of) has nothing to do with whether minors can or cannot play in the AA games.  It boils down to a SINGLE word:

Liability.

Like it or not, we live in a litigious society (look it up) where folks go to court for **** like there only being ONE Valedectorian at graduation and stuff.  It's ridiculous.  But it is the reality.

Therefore, if you wanna play, get your folks to show up...and stay.  In our society, waivers mean nothing...heck, even if signed by adults, one can almost always get a waiver invalidated.

Since AA is a private group, run by private individuals, 'discrimination' is legal.  Deal with it.  Start your own group for minor-aged airsofters.

Now, that said, I don't agree with proposed / possible legislation relegating Airsoft guns to the over-18.  I was shooting real guns when I was 8, got my BB gun when I was 11 and my first rifle when I was 15.

There's nothing written anywhere that says you have a right to play. You don't. Deal with it, and get older. That's all there is to it. Life's freakin' hard, innit? The people running the games-here and everywhere else-don't wanna lose all they have because minors cannot enter into contracts on thier own.

Lock this topic, please.

Minors in airsoft

You have done very little for the sport and none of it is positive.  You think that your skewed views on life are always correct, and no matter what anyone says is wrong.  I am 28 years old, I've been into the sport of Airsoft for almost 6 years now.  I see so many kids today who are starting to love the game, and all you do is strike them down by not allowing them to play with you unless a parent sits out the entire time.  How can they develop and allow the sport to be played the way it should.  By your lawyers or whoever created this waiver, you not only force people under 18 to play in areas that are dangerous to the sport but also deny them the room to grow and understand safety meausures that need to be taken.  Too often are these kids being caught out playing in a field or an apartment complex, and it makes the sport look bad.  Have a waiver that allows a parent to leave, but during the time the minor is there, he/she cannot leave.  This way they are forced to stay and less chance of a bad name being tied to the game.  Also, I would like to make note, before assumptions are made, I have no ties with, nor will I ever, with Soft Air Depot.  And the same goes for Jungletoy.  JT is an outrageously priced dealer, and most of the time is faulty or not working at all.  Soft Air Depot, or SAD, never said any of the things you have, I think they are just too new for the sport.
