I know I mentioned that we've been looking into opening an indoor field, which has been the case for the last few years, but I don't know what "indoor place" you'd be referring to? It's gotta be a misunderstanding... Care to refresh my memory?

Ron

This is still on subject.  Why have 1000 topics to look through in a search.  Wraith, you are not Raith.  Please sit back and read more instead of posting to get your post count up.  Thanks  8)

I did it bc/I wasn't paying attention, sorry guys. >.< As for the indoor place I wasn't too sure myself, that's why I was kinda vague. I thought you had mentioned some indoor place nearby that you were looking into recently, beyond that though I can't remember any more.

I wasn't trying to be Raith and I was just letting them know they're bringing up an old topic. Of which they were talking about something that wasn't in the subject, so I suggested making a new topic. Whenever I posted in an old topic, it was locked so I was just bringing it to the mods attention to make their job a little easier. And last time I checked, you weren't Raith either.

Actually Wraith, it was on topic. And besides, its Ron, he's the man! I wouldn't get on the bad side of the DM for the JT's in AZ, hehe.

People had already read it and saw the incident about the police etc. and thats what the topic developed into. I was just letting them know, and obviously they didn't because they apologized for not noticing. I wasn't trying to get on Ron's bad side. The only reason I reacted was because he may not have noticed or tryed but his post seemed rude. I apologize if I got the wrong impression.

oh, ok.. I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about. I was talking to some people in the store about a couple of indoor activities we have planned, but we're also currently looking for a location. One is an AEG repair/upgrade clinic, so I'm looking for a classroom style setting, but in a place close to the stores and that will also allow replica guns on site. The other thing, which is what you might be talking about, is an indoor shooting competition. I've discussed the idea with some of you, and I'll be posting full details once we find the spot. Sorry for the misunderstanding. :)

Here we go again

We had a long exhaustive discussion about this a while back. There's the legal angle, which is hazy at best and the practical one. On the practical side there will be major police activity anywhere there are people around and folks are seen waving real-looking weapons around, and yes, enough of that kind of thing will get airsoft outlawed. I'm astounded that anyone would not get that point. Bottom line, people if we don't police ourselves and use some common sense, as in don''t play anywhere near people we will be talking on forums and not playing anywhere. Question for the group? How do we distance ourselves from those of us who don't have better sense?

Since this is my older topic, talking about how unbelievably stupid I was way earlier, I jsut thought I'd say, I have a bit more common sense now. Wait.. way more.

As I said before, this was still on topic.  And just because a topic is 2 months old doesn't mean you should just start a new one. Make use of what you have, like Chayote did.  Infact if he did anything he brought it back on topic.  Also, what I meant by "your not Raith" is that your not a moderator.  And your right Im not a moderator either, but someone needed to point you in the right direction.  Don't get your feathers ruffled    :)

Go me, get credit for not paying attention  :D

Seriously though I don't see the problem with replying to old posts unless they were for a game a year ago, and even then if someone wants to do the same thing it makes certain amount of sense.

To distance oneself from those without common sense you'd have to keep a good eye out for them, be very strict and not be afraid to boot them out. It probably wouldn't hurt if the good side got some publicity...

Maybe we could have a decent sized op of some sort with a bit of press as to the good sides, and in it stress the maturity and sense required. Worst case if some idiot gets himself in trouble with an airsoft gun people would have heard about the skillful and mature milsim of capable and competent adults first. I'm not a PR guy so I may be off, but makes sense to me.
