Cool, now I can actually vote in the polls.  Im officially and AA citizen again!

The old forum were more user friendly, but maybe I was just used to them.

Im still wondering if all the old threads are on the new forums though...

Paco, you should add an "active topics" icon/link to the list at the top of all pages.

There is a possible (low chance) security risk that I discovered and notifyed Paco. I'm not sure if he got it though.

We dont have a place in our profiles to place a birthday or age.  Its little, but sometimes its the little things that count   :P   Not at all an issue, just a reflection.

Mr. Joseph, there's a "view new topics since last visit" link that's similar to active topics in the old forums.  It's on the upper right hand area.

-Wraith- thanks, I fixed the permissions issue.

-MAD SARGE- thanks for the suggestion.  I'll see if I can't work in some customizations and improvements in the profile, like adding birthdays (and even having them appear on the calendar).  Good idea.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions guys - this is YOUR forum - I'm just trying to make the best and most stable forum as we grow.   :D

Im new here and just getting into arsoft play paintball and this is the same setup as www.paintballarizona.com worked very well, maybe you could figure out a way to have the thirty most recent topics on the side like they have there

Man who go to sleep with itchy but, wake up with stinky finger.

Having a smoking section in a restaraunt is like having a peeing section in a pool.

I did see that, but that link can't be seen from all pages.  The old forums allways had the active topics link at the top of the page.  I'm guessing the forum software is locked and you wont be able to make that link visible from all pages.  If you could, that would be awesome.

The forum is only a "base".  As it stands now, it has been heavily modified.  It's a change I can make.  I'll see about doing it.

I've tried doing some searches and it seems that If I want to search by any given word such as "game" for example, I get no matches found.  I should get hundreds of matches.  It seems like that the forums only reconizes this new forum for searching with key words.  Meaning that any old posts moved to this new forum can not be searched by using a key word.  The only ones that appear are new posts originally posted on this new forum.

I can see all the posts from the old forum from a specific member if I want, but It wont come up with any narrower selections with the key word function.  It comes up with no matches found.

Just pointing this out as I know how useful the search function can be  8)

I also want to say thanks to Jason (Paco) for hosting this website and donating his time, money and effort to maintain this!!!

Crap; you're right.  It only searches the posts made specifically on this forum - not the imported posts.  That pretty much negates the whole purpose/benefit of me importing the stuff from the old forums.

Well, I will try to see if I can reindex it.  Thank you for pointing that out!

The new forums look good.  It looks like not all of the topics got moved over successfully though.  I noticed a few that didn't make it over, the topic "Very preliminary info about LCIV" for instance.

It would also appear that not everybody can see the BIG notice that Paco posted under the annoucement section of the old forums...  I guess they just can't make eye glasses strong enough for some people. #-o

I think the new site is cool, but it will take some getting used to. I like the View posts since last visit since it is the same as active forums.

Strange that that one didn't get moved over, but you're right, it doesn't appear to be here.  It was before the cut-off date as well.  Oh well. :-k

If Paco builds it they will come. No matter what the forum is like.....

I would like to see a members only Area, Some place the OGs and paying members can talk and rant without all the Newbies and None AA members chiming in

For instance I will ask a legitimate question about a problem, Looking for a senor AA person to answer And I get a  bunch of newbie Input which takes over the topic  No Answer and I tune out  after I get dumb responses

Plus if your not a paying member  there needs to be limits, On what a non members can do like list items for sale, start a topic, get member discounts, enter the members only area, etc etc

I know a lot of guys have tuned out due to some trolls trolling the board

OKAY, so what if I am a newbie!
If you have a question that requires the consultation of an experienced player then there should be a place where people can ask questions and have them answered only by "members" with a certain number of posts, etc., but still let it be visable to the public.
I have learned a lot from this forum and I thank Paco for his effort in this forum! If I was old enough I would take every chance I had to play with you guys! I hope I don't get restricted from where I can speak with other poeple from the airsoft community! :(
