This inspires me to go bust out my Flashbang designs again. But I guess flashbangs wouldnt be very effective at an even like LC4.

Might work for a night game at L4. Depending on how you are designing a flash bang. It could tolaly ruin an opponents night vision   or even backfire on yourself. I think a flash bang would be tight!!!! I nice challange to work on great idea busta.

That’s a genius idea! You wouldn’t mind some healthy competition would you? I have some experience in circuits. I probable could create a sound/ flash grenade.

I've seen lemon and pineapple at Larada's, but IIRC, they're pretty pricey.

Competition... uh no, no problem (I have a MSEE) but okay.  By the way the flashgrenade, doesn't actually flash, its audible.  Once you pull the pin, 3 seconds later it 'Wails" at about 105dB (smoke detector is 85dB).  The strobe is useless, since most ops are during the day and it is also a pain in the butt to have to put a boost converter in the flash bang to generate 100Vac+, so why bother.  Everything in airsoft works on the honor system, so will the flashbang.  For as long as it is going off the people already inside the room have to keep their eyes closed, but can still fire their weapons.  Cheap, easy and safe!

I'm going to wait to try out the audible claymores that SWAIRTAC will be using, to see how to improve them and then start on the next 'gadget".

Don't know exactly where you live, but down here in Tucson, Miller's surplus sells them for $5 a piece, complete with fuse assembly. Just keep in mind that they are solid steel bodies and would hurt very much to be hit by them!

Yeah, inert grenades are still metal, but here's a site you can get some from if there's nowhere nearby you.

Old post... but did we ever find out when the rubber grenades were going to be made?

They would have come in handy at yesterday's OP.

I found these things on Asmoairsoft.com  they use Caps found in toy cap guns, but are fun to plink around with.  I'm not sure how safe they are for the desert though, So I will not use them there.

Just ordered a flashbag and a lemon. I'll let everyone know how they work. As far as safety, well, they sell cap guns to little kids at walmart, but, of course, AA has the final word for their games.

The only thing I was afraid of, is the "what if" factor.  What if a spark doesn't stay inside and hits a dry patch of grass.  I'm going to test them thoroughly, but still...  I have two currently (I ordered several), and have 6 flashbangs and 3 baseballs on the way.  They were backordered, so expect a little bit of delay.
