Not new.  Take it apart, degrease it, sand the washers with fine sandpaper, reassemble with blue loctite and lube it with CLP.

Never had a Big Dog.  I don't like combo-edges and the M21 is one of the few CRKT that don't have one.  It has a deep belly also and can be used for chopping.  I cut the tread off 2 steel-belted radial off-road tires at Pathfinder AO the night that place earned it's name.

I'm not going to feed you some bullshit about how I went home and it still sliced tomatos, but it was sharp "enough".  I was surprised it held an edge that well for being AUS8.

Greg got a pack a while back, the SDS Tac-Bag. I liked it alot, and I wanted to get it. I was going to get a different color, because the SDS colors aren't as said. Example, Greg got black, which is dark blue. I ordered one in Grey. It came in black. :(

I like the pack alot. I don't have as much use for it as Greg does, other than the fact that I get the pride of having a pack that's meant to have a cooler purpose, in a school where I'm surrounded by Vans and JanSport packs.

I got up this morning, and theres a package on my chair. I was excited. I tore it open, and there it is.. a black SDS Tac Bag. I thought, "Oh, man. Gregs gonna be bummed".

I loaded it up with a few books, it'll hold what I need for school. And, as for the range, well.. it's got 3 double stack m4 mag pouches in it (with ranger plates on real mags, not airsoft, for the record), which the last one, towards the top, won't hold any.

The last image is showing the last mag, pushed all the way in as far as it'll go. The retention for the mags won't work too well, without ranger plates or with. But that's obviously no big deal, since theres a zipper there. This is my only real complaint, which is to saying the pack is good, because I never post anything good about anything at all.

Theres a few things I didn't know about the pack, like the back is lined with something like Kydex, to keep it stiff, then padding (Which is pretty cool padding), and the areas to route the camelback tube throughout the top strap.

I like the pack because it's a single strap, which is what I wanted. I went through a DBT 3 day, Eagle A3, Invader Zim bookbag (I like the show, so what), and a RAID. They've all got good purposes, but this one fits the needs of a senior in highschool and/or freshman in college. And I don't need any of the other packs. Just something cool for 3-4 books.

I rate the pack a 7.5/10, I like it alot.

edit: added info

Nate... Mine is SDS Black which is actually dark green. Take the internal PALS panel out and you'll see how to remove the frame sheet that you don't like. Also, look at how I managed the excess front strap- it looks gay hanging down.

The Tac Bag is probably the only thing I'd ever buy from SDS besides a helmet.

If their packs were say, HALF of the price they are, I might consider one.

The TAC bag doesn't look like cool guy gear, so it's cool.

Worth noting is the fact that the controls are useable through the vinyl window.

A neat little Special Purpose pouch.
