top to bottom

SF
Ranger
Airborne.

it also states that is order is liek this due to the fact that not everyone who wears teh airborne tab has been thru airborne school.

The Special Forces Tab is always worn above the Ranger Tab

The SF and Ranger tabs are EARNED tabs where the Airborne is NOT.  The Airborne tab is always worn in conjunction with a specific unit patch and the unit TO&E must authorize the unit as being on airborne status EXCEPT for the 101st Airborne Division.... historical reasons and all...

Not everyone with a SF tab will have a Ranger Tab... its not part of the progression in SF....

You don't HAVE to go through jump school to wear an airborne unit patch (there are a few legs in the 82nd.... someone has to cook and do laundry after all....)

Dont wear these tabs if you have not earned them......

Clean gear is for queers! Get dirty!

There isn't much gear here, but I'm totally rocking the AA patch in my turret!

I can count on one hand the number of jump-schooled guys I've met from the 82nd.  Those guys that do that laundry, cook the food, and do the paperwork are about 82% of the 82nd.

Someone told me they're just not sending guys to school for any reason these days.  Even some infantry guys haven't been yet.  It's just the way it is, I guess.

Now, I wear the All American on my right sleeve, but the closest I'll ever get to jumping is walking off a C-17.

Ian, you wear unit patches to airball games and airball patches to war.  Now I've seen it all.

Made by Coyote Tactical of course, I thought it was about time I put it up.

I have finally used this rig long enough to warrant a review.

This is an integrated rig for the most part.

Modular Chuckwalla, Dual M4 Mag pouches x 4, Icom pouch, Modular dump bag, admin pouch, and Hydration carrier all in my favorite color, coyote tan. The coyote tan works well when dirty, it almost takes on the color of the local dust/dirt and blends in well.

It is pretty light, no armor to restrict my mobility. I can effectively perform light rock climbing easily, low crawl, slide, roll and can perform just about any task with this rig. It wears comfortably and is fully adjustable, though if your a big guy the shoulder pads may be a too short as it was made for me.

Amenities, chuckwalla is great can hold 6 pistol mags, has a general storage area, two inner slit pockets to hold paper, pencil, ID ect. The zippers are big, easy to operate and very quite. It also has your general quick access map pouch or death rag pouch, however you wish to use it.

Mag pouches are very easy to use due to the retention system and the fact that pouch is not overly tight with mags in. The retention flap comes down about an inch below the Velcro allowing me to easily grab and open the flaps to pull out a mag in almost one motion. The large pull tabs are nice too.

Dump pouch could be a bit bigger, can hold 5 mags effectively when partially synched up to retain the mags. Though if the bag was any bigger I think it would be too big and would get in my way. If I am down 5 mags anyways, I am not having a good day.

Admin pouch has Velcro across the whole front area, with a Velcro retention system, the two pull tabs on top make it very easy to open. I only place small items or papers in here since it is close to my chest. If the items are too bulky they "poke" through and just bother me whenever I move.

The Hydration carrier is your standard carrier but is integrated. It is covered with Molle for any attachments that I may want to add, with a Velcro area on top for ID.

Overall a great rig for me. I can move in this rig and can carry more stuff than I had in the past. Such as more snacks or a small lunch, note pad, pencil, maps, keys, and more ammo.  I still have to decide if I want to sacrifice lunch for ammo but I know I'll use the ammo and I won't use the lunch. Snacks will do.
