Paracord magpuls. Cheap, easy, effective and make you look like a do-it-yourselfer! (Chicks dig it)

Is it just me or is your drop leg holster on backwards?

I also highly recommend boots and/or a boonie/hat. Something to get the sun and debris away from the face. Nothing worse than getting your goggles stuck in a bush you are going threw. Also those type of shoes don't provide any side support or heavy traction in loose dirt. I fell once while wearing a pair similar to those because my foot sank and the other hand to grip. Haven't since with boots.

I appreciate your concern but i ran track and field for 4 years and tennis shoes to me are alot better to run in then boots. And i also have a pair of running shoes im going to be using i just took that picture with those cause thats what i had on.

But as far as i think that holster looks to be on correct to me?

To me it looks like the handle is pointing in the direction you are staring. The handle should be facing opposite of the direction you are staring.

That way when you draw your sidearm your hand and fingers and already in place. The way you have it you must turn your hand 180 or with the opposite hand. It works on chest holsters since you hand is already turning into position.

I also ran track and field and 'yes' tennis shoes are a lot better to run in, BUT, you will twist or break an ankle much, much faster in them running over uneven rocky terrain playing airsoft.  Most of the players who have been at this a long time will highly recommend boots.  Hiking boots even....just something to provide ankle support.

We're just looking out for ya bud.   Other than that......nice setup.

I appreciate you guys looking out for me but i just can ever get the feel for boots i have tried them going camping and i do a lot of hiking through tunnels and high adventure stuff. I really do appreciate it though guys.

i was going for like the bare minimals is there anything i dont need? right now i am running 10 mid caps? Could i Lower it down to have 8 on my chest and one in the gun? so a total of 9 not 10 getting rid of one mag holder? And Maybe getting rid of the chuckwallet?

Mags size depends on style of play and who you play with. I only use 5 P90 standards but have 2 speed loaders on standby. If you play and shoot alot keep the extra magazines. If you find yourself not using 2-3 magazines don't carry them next game and see how it goes.

As for the boots I am the same way. I never wear mine outside of airsofting so I just bought the Converse Side Zipper "combat" boot(with H. toe) in tan. Saved me from getting a 4 inch nail through the foot and I have never had a traction or foot injury since.

Like Cajun said, get a light pair of hiking boots at the minimum for ankle support.

If you are right handed, your holster should be on your right hip or thigh if wearing it down there.  If you are left handed, try drawing your side arm the way you have it...it won't work. :D

What kind of boots did you previously try? You might be suprised with some of the newer "tactical" boots (the funky hybrid looking ones). Many offer the comfort of running shoes, but provide good ankle support, and keep debris out of your footwear. Altama, Bates, Blauer 5.11, and Converse are a few companies making these style of boots. Heck, even some of the cheapies are decent. Some even feature a side zipper, makes gettin' them off when you're tired a lot easier. Gore-tex lined boots are awesome if you ever encounter snow or water in the field. I've seen many of these boots going from $40-$100. I'd consider that very reasonable for one of the most important pieces of gear. My boots have saved my ankles many, many times. I am kind of a clumsy oaf though.  But heck, that's just my 2 cents. Really the best method is go with what's comfortable. Ultimately, experience is the best teacher.
***Many apologies for the off topic post, that is, the utter lack of showing off sexy gear. I figure discussing it might be excusable.***

I would not buy side zip boots for anything important.

The zipper blows out, and you have a useless boot.

Good point, Vince. Although I have a cheapy pair (Major Tactical, $44.95) with a YKK zipper that I've abused for more than a year now and held up pretty well. They are the same ones that many of us Saguaros wear. But they're being made with plastic eyelets (instead of metal) as of last month, so I wouldn't recommend that brand anymore. Vince is pretty accurate in his statement though, i.e. the zipper, no matter how well it's made, will always be a weak point.
