Oh the helmet is fake. I could have gotten a real German Kevlar helmet but that would just be overkill. Besides, the KSK is now starting to use MICH style in limited numbers.

When I go to AA style games I tend to wear the full setup with the Flak Vest. But I've found my carrier(molle) is to big to be in combination with the Flak Vest. Also European magazines do not fit will into most molle pouches, you can get specific but a chest rig would be better with a full loadout of 11 30rd g36 mags. This is the rig in question, its not authentic(tacgear) but still will work none the less;

I plan on getting the full setup for Red Dagger if I can go.

Just remember, even though that isn't "official" gear, the KSK have had a history of providing themselves with their own kits depending on allowance and of course location.  I have yet to see more than two similar sets of pictures of KSK wearing the same thing.  Their kits change often.  The Bundeswehr or the GSG-9 on the other hand adhere to a strict kit.

My team (well I am the only one that lives in AZ, I just moved here from NY) are based upon the air operations platoons of the KSK, and we found, with some creative liberties since its imitation, not replication, we could use most rigs available generally to airsofters.  Even beyond the web rigging (which I use) and IdZ setups.

www.flecktarn.co.uk is a good place to get whatever you want in flecktarn, albeit its shipping from UK so its a tad expensive.

Ja, die Flecktarnt ist sehr austgezeichnet fur alles aber die Ode.  Abertleil dich Tropentarnt.

My german is a little rusty to say the least.  Its cool to see a German-themed team way out here in the desert, I am part of the team Oct Luft (spelt wrong before I ever joined sadly), a KSK airborne based group from NY.  Its cool to see someone rocking something other than US traditional :).

As far as the Elbow is concerned, I know its not proper shooting technique (I shoot almost all summer during the week so I know how to shoot a real rifle) but for me its comfortable on my CA since the Length of Pull is shorter then my arm is so Its either there or i'm rediculously uncomfortable.

For those wondering about the Wizard of Oz movie poster that is the entrence to my families movie theater (albeit a small one at 5ft tall by 9ft wide) and we have Gone with the wind and American pie (my mothers favorite three movies)

Get a set of fake plates. Also, find a way to make soft armor(closed cell foam sheets maybe?). It will fit ALOT better, and it will look better to with it all bulked out.

the fake plates will have to wait unless they are really cheap and come in size XL = (I've only seen mediums)  Closed cell foam as in the stiff camping mat stuff?

They make size large plates, which will fit fine in that vest.  Some 1/4" foam and that would help fill it out, but you could probably just get away with just fake plates.  The easy way to go if you can't find those faux plastic plates is to just cut a thick piece of hard foam about 3/4" thick in the shape of a SAPI plate.

Thanks.   It's not a CVC though.  I got it from www.uncompany.com and would provide a link but I can't get the site right now.

Nice BLACK goggles and strap to nullify your nice paint job.

Ok so I thought about it and the lashing from TimW about being stupid with gear so I focused on being as close to the real thing as possible. I also remembered Vince's comment about Primary and Secondary so I got around it with a drop leg system. That way my stand down time is cut drastically when/if my primary dies.  This is how I broke it down;

1) Black Pouches to contrast the balaclava. I noticed I was getting hit in the neck and chin area over all others. The pouches give a secondary target and slight confusion of either if I am standing or kneeling.

2) No radio yet but I'm not sure if I should get one. I do have a pouch on the back to place it and use a throat/headset setup. No cords would be in the way of the sling.

3) Utility as a canteen pouch and the German H Harness as a dump pouch for spent mags.

4) Shemgh to protects my jaw/teeth and in the P90 keeps the sun and sweat off. Gloves are random, they have emergency lights on them.

5) Thats 11 G36 Star 30rds and 5 P90 standards. Like I said I tried to keep it as real as possible. Which I why I left the flak vest on but the boots are tan. I will eventually switch to black.

Am I missing anything or is anything stupid(other than posing but I don't know anyone else that airsoft milsims)? like always advice is appreciated and sorry for the crappy camera.

Unless flecktarn is so good that it can dim any oncoming light, I can't quite make out the detail since it is low-light, take some flash pictures!

But from what I can tell, its a pretty good setup.  Are you going for German realism?  If so what type of German setup?  Or are you just going for something that works?

Also, were you the other guy at OP: Black Horse with flecktarn on in my team?  Or am I still confused since moving here...?
