Hey guys, My name is Manuel. Cobras are my favorite cars (dun matter what year). First gun, ICS MP5, love this thing. Now im into sniping. I have a fully upgrade JG BAR-10 I practice it it very frequently. I pretty much know how to fix most of the common BAR-10 problems so dont hesitate to PM me if you need help with your BAR-10. I was referred to this site by the former Jungle Toy which is now known as Airsoft Gear Box. I post frequently on ASR as well.

Welcome to the boards. I was taking a look at the BAR-10. Do you have any words to say about it?

In one corner we have the feisty newcomer, SVT Cobra.

In the other corner, crafty veteran of many foreign wars, PHX Cobra.

I'm not sure what will happen in this battle for naming rights.

Thanks for the welcome, I appreciate it!I do some words about the BAR-10 actually. Its a great gun for the money. For $120 you get the gun, a 3-9X zoom scope with illuminated reticle, and shipping (this from airsoftgi.com. Out of the box the gun shoots very nicely and the rubberized stock has a great quality finish. Since, it is a VSR-10 100% clone you can put ANY after market VSR-10 upgrades in it. The gun seems to have some hop-up issues that require shimming but its not a big deal. Also, you must be careful when you disassemble it as well. Make sure to unscrew the cylinder head and take out the internals BEFORE you pop out the spring guide stopper. You see, pulling the spring guide stopper first will cause it to deform, which cause it to misalign your piston, which causes a stiff bolt return, which causes the piston sear to wear down and eventually fail (the famous "bolt slams forward problem") rendering the gun useless until you get a new sear or trigger assembly. Improper disassembly has haunted me and many others who made a very simple disassembly mistake lol. All in all, its a great gun that I recommend to anyone who is considering picking one up. As, for myself, I have "invested" about $300 in upgrades into the gun. Yeah I know is pricey, but man the guns shoots great! I absolutely love it! I hope this post helps anyone who is considering or has recently gotten a BAR-10. Be careful with the spring guide stopper lol!!!

Sorry for the double post, I just read your post lol. Well, see SVT stands for Special Vehicle Team, so it refers to a car, PHX Cobra may be referring to the actual snake I dont know. If he is referring to the car as well, then this makes us Mustang brethren...lol...united against the GTOs, Camaros, Firebirds and all the other non-sense that aren't mustangs.
lol jk.

Haha, no problem! I just want to help and save people the headaches and disappointments that I had to go through because of a silly mistake. It really is a great rifle.

I know what SVT stands for, but, I think he just thought it sounded cool.

He's had an STI and now has a Lotus Elise.

PS -- I was just kidding.
