I did not realize ACOG was a military acronym Sarge, unless you mean The trijicon optics. Well good luck with the team. IMO having groups that play together is a better idea than a "team" persay, because most people play with the same people most of the time.

True.

Not a military acronym?  Who uses the ACOG, busta?

Well....ACOG is (was?) an acronym from my days back in GA its the Atlanta Coalition for the Olympic Games.  Just remembered that for some reason.

I agree no serious names should be used.  I always laugh at all the "TEAM DELTA FORCE!!!!!" people.  Its a game, have some fun with it.

I still like Team Ramrod....but thats just me.

Well, somebody lied to me.  All this time I thought ACOG meant A Chillin' Original Gangsta...

I thought ACOG was the model for trijicon's "high end red-dot" Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight.

I think its more of a red-dot than a scope.  Difference between you and I is that I've used them before, the 'donut reticle" "triangle reticle" the fibre optic piece on the top channels light down to this reticle. I have scopes and red-dots, this is more like a red dot than a scope.

Trijicon calls a lot of their sights by the ACOG name.  I think even the Reflex (like Nate's) is labeled an ACOG.

It is.  busta is retarded and decided to name his team after it.

But no one cares about that, and it has nothing to do with this topic.

So for that, I have an award for busta.  I haven't given one of these out in awhile, so here you go:

So are you saying that any Optic with an illuminated recticle is a red dot? Ive looked thru an ACOG like the one I posted a picture of before...Yes it was illuminated but it was a cross hair recticle not a "dot".

FYI there are MANY variations of the ACOG,

look at the dot version, triangle, and donut.

Ah, I am mistaken, I was only aware of the Crosshair recticle version. I guess maybe thats the most popular?
