Ive looked thru an ACOG [...] Yes it was illuminated but it was a cross hair recticle not a "dot".

You mean the one in America's Army? [smilie=armata_pdt_28.gif]

+1
 =D>

2 points for busta if he can explain the significance of the red illuminated dot in the Magnified ACOG.

According to the "brochure" I received from Trijicon (because I love free stuff) the ACOG comes in the crosshair (4x32 - TA01, TA01B, TA01NSN, TA01C), donut (3.5x35 and 4x32 BAC - TA11, TA11C, TA31), triangle (3.5x35 and 4x32 BAC - TA11D and TA31A), and upside down V (3.5x34, 5x32 BAC and 5.5x55 - TA31F, TA11E, TA11F, TA55, and TA55A).  The compact ACOG however comes in the triangle, dot, and standard crosshair reticles (all three of which are either amber or red).  Trijicon's other sights (AccuPoint, TriPower, Reflex, and self-illuminated night sights) are not known as ACOGs.

Then again changes could have been made since I received this brochure.

As for the team, I do not meet the requirements but I would enjoy just playing with you guys every so often.  Looking into the ROTC program at NAU so I figured I should learn as much as I can before graduating.

I sure hope you cut an pasted that, otherwise you wasted alot of time.

Let's stay on topic here!!  The title of the thread is not "busta's ghey airsoft team", now is it? :x

Would you be doing Army ROTC up there?  If so you will be the same batallion that I am (Eagle company at Embry Riddle in Prescott and Axe company at NAU).  We do joint FTXs and other training stuff.  Its really alot of fun, and nothing in ROTC is actually hard (maybe if you do Ranger Challenge, but even then its not that bad). I know I'm new to the board, but I'm pretty sure myself and my wife would be interested in playing.  We're stationed in Italy right now but are PCSing to Arizona in a few weeks.  We just started playing here with some other people from the base but we're eager to learn more once we get to the states.  She's got a TM SIG 552 SEALS and I've got a TM G36C, modded a little.  Just figured I'd chime in here. :)

Oh, she's AMMO and I'm EOD.

Are you going to be stationed at DM Base?  There are a couple of local Tucson teams, look them up when you arrive.  They'd be happy to tell you about the local AO's and when/where the skirmishes are.

We sure are.  I'll definitely look them up when we get there.  Thanks for the info!

We'd definitely be interested in having you on this team.

I'll keep you informed, but let me know when exactly you'll be in town.

See my first post in this thread.

It's time to get going with this idea.  If interested, PM me with your name and location, and don't forget to include any additional info that you think may help.  Remember, we're going to need a team name!

Just an idea I had but I've been using this for years.

TSNS: Top Secret Ninja Shit.  I heard it once back in '99 and was the funniest damn thing I ever heard.  Been using it since.  I dunno, something like Team TSNS or Project TSNS.  Just an idea.

I kinda like it but I am a little reluctant to incorperate any 4 letter explatives in the name.

Maybe we should back up a step and ask what we want from a name? Do we want it to sound like a sports team? Like a military unit? Like a bunch of L33T console cowboys? One we are common on that we can go forward.

I may be getting ahead of myself but also when tossing out name ideas, having some ideas of how it would translate to a patch might not hurt.

I am still partial to using animal names, particularly ones that are fun to say, cool sounding, or obscure; Like dingo, wombat, rhino etc.
