I am also in agreement with staying away from too much distraction from what we are here to do. That being, haveing a team to have some FUN with and being able to work together more that just once.

I personally am still down with the Force Package ?

As long as we stick to a military/law enforcement style name, it doesnt matter. [/u]

After the experience I had last weekend, it is increasingly clear to me what I want from having a team. In a word, commo. In several scenarios, I am pretty sure that part of why green took such a pasting, was that someone from swairtac (who I could see at the bottom of the hill directing forces) was adjusting their approach, and spotting targets for them. I know we all know it already, but information is a major factor in winning a battle.

That said, I had a wonderful time anyway, and don't want us to all feel the need to shell out masive money for milgrade radios.

With regard to uniformity, what is everyone thinking? I think the armpat is cool, but I am very aware of it's deficiencies in arizona environs. There was just one person using it at the last game, and I never had any trouble spotting him, except once, when he was hunkered down in some greyish growth under one of those thorny shrubs.

I know it isn't US camo, but I think this would be outstanding in our terrain, and would cross over well to a more wooded environment (for things like lion claws) http://www.tridentmilitary.com/new-phot ... hirt-b.jpg

Do we want to stick with US issue?

LM, at that last game we really didn't use the radios that much.  Primarily it was just to keep in touch with the other groups when out of site.  With my little group of guys I just kept yelling out what to do n' stuff.  When doing squad level maneuvers you really don't need to use a radio hardly ever.

BTW, I still think you guys should call this team MilLE...

LOL, Unfortunately the pronunciation of that is a little too much like the name of a cow.

Yeah, at the squad level I have found that when the defication hits the ocilation, there is a ton of shouting and verbal commands, although in urban environments, I have found use of platoon level and even squad level commo priceless for keeping your fire teams organized. Fights I have been in tend to go in sort of waves, and in between waves of action, you don't want to be shouting and pulling on your velcro to much. You would think everyone would be deaf from the fighting, but you'd be surprised at what you hear.

You mean you all don't want to wear MultiCam? :P

I like ARMPAT, but the rest of you may not.  After playing again at BT, I found several places where it would blend right in.  Not perfect, like MultiCam might appear, but no worse than 3 color desert or  US woodland.  It's not expensive like MultiCam, but comes pre-modded with pockets in all the right places.  Then again, I know how you feel about velcro, Jeff.  Maybe you could have yours modified to use buttons.

Either way, I do not want to wear that camo from that link!

Maybe we could buy ACUs, then dye them to better match the AZ environment!  We would then have our own, one-of-a-kind uniform!

I'm ok with multicam or ACUs, or even the marpat desert. Whatever you all guyses think. I mostly wanted to open up the floor for discussion.

The velcro kinda annoys me but now that I am rigged up, I should have minimal need for the uniform pockets anyway.

I dig some of these, but they would require us to basically have custom uniforms done, so maybe not practical.

Photoshop is a tool that can be used for good or evil.

That works for me, but maybe a more subdued color so it wont stand out too much.  Same colors would be ok, just way darker.  I would hate to wear a bunch of camo just to put a red and yellow patch on my shoulder.  Just a thought.

Oh yes, this would be the "class a" LOL. I will do one later that is subdued. This was mostly for fun and concept.

Here is a more subd version. I could take the red out entirely I think and do like brown or something. Darken the green too probably. I am trying to figure out how to fix it so the "syperfly" part is shaped and spaced to match the top of the patch, like in the shape of a tab but I haven't sorted it out yet.

For the record, I am not assuming we go with this by any means, just using it as an excuse to experiment some with photochop.
