Marpat chest rig and marpat Hydro Carrier
« on: February 28, 2005, 06:57:54 PM »
I bought this about a year ago never worn or used
Its a holds 9 mags with and two utility pouches on each side
its made pretty well Not as good as battlelab,HSG or BHI, but will get the good done

DONT CONFUSE THIS WITH THE CHINA CRAP THATS OUT THERE

Also one Hydro carrier in Marpat. I paid alot for this when they first came out due to the marpat pattern.

I will take 45 for the vest and 30 for the  hydro or 70 for both FTF or 8.50 for shipping

[/list]

That's not MARPAT, it's "Jungle Stalker".

He did say "Marpat Pattern".  If you break the word Marpat apart, it comes from Marine + Patern=Marpat.  The absence of the eagel & globe doesn't mean it isn't marpat. Besides, the Marines copied the Canadians with there Cadpat anyway. They just adjusted it to fit our needs.

Dave does this need a pistol belt or is it self contained?  Do you think it would fit me comfortably?

No, the fact that it's not MARPAT means it's not MARPAT.

It's like saying 3 color desert is like woodland, but with different colors.

This is not relevant to the thread, so I'll stop.

My point is that it's not MARPAT, it's Jungle Stalker.  Jungle Stalker is used by good companies like SO Tech and HSGI.  It's a good pattern for woodland.  People think that anything that's pixelated is MARPAT.

So, I guess if the Marines made a Jungle pattern it would be Jungle Marpat then...

Ha ha, John.  It won't!  That's my point.

MARPAT (Mostly Coyote Brown with Green and a little Black, and even less tan):

Jungle Stalker (Tan, Green, and Black with a small ammount of Dark Brown):

I'm sure it looks the same to most of you, but look closer.  Different colors, different pattern.  Completely disregarding the fact it has no EGA, it is a different pattern.  A quite effective one nontheless.

In addition to Davids nice chest rig and hydration carrier pictured here, there is tons of low-end gear available on ebay made of Jungle Stalker.  As I mentioned before, there is also some gear around in JS made by great gear companies like SOTech, HSGI, and others.

I'm not sure what that's all about, since it's hard to judge tone.  I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic, or if you really don't get it.

My point is that they used a similar pattern to Marpat. I do understand that it is not true Marpat and the colors are different.

Roger that.  There is also Mountain Stalker, and Street Stalker.

Everyone knows, of course, about CADPAT (desert and woodland), MARPAT (desert and woodland) and ARMPAT (multiple environments), and whatever the Air Force is calling their new camo.

It's camo-madness! :P
