I actually don't see anything wrong with either of those cities or Phoenix...I think you were in the really crappy part.. And the JT PHX and tempe aren't in places like that. Although the Tempe location is in a little higher price area.

The reason some TUcsonans associate Phoenix with similarity to Chicago or L.A. is because in TUcson, driving from one side of town to the other is a common task and doesn't take long.  WHereas driving from one side of Phoenix (or of course L.A.) to simply see a friend seems pretty unheard of.  Thats the difference, and thats what makes in unpleasing to many of us down here.

All of that said, I'm not "hating" on phoenix (L.A... yes...  ;)  ), but it's just not desirable for many of us down here to go to and to get used to.

I was actually relieved when I checked out Tucson's branch because when I had been to the Mesa store, the manager there was a prick.  When we were asking him questions, he would say stuff like, "God you really are new to this, and while talking to a customer on the phone while we were there, he puts the receiver on his shirt and says, "newb alert."

Mesa store?...

Manager was a prick?...

Please don't say you're talking about Dusty in the Tempe store.

The Jungle Toy in Tucson has been very good at introducing me to the world of airsoft.  It has decent guns at decent prices.  Hell, I got my g36 there with a crap load of stuff for 350!  I also just bought a GBB Para style 1911, that fires flawlessly.  I got some awesome tac gear there, and some knives and swords too.
JT (Ogre) introduced me to Airsoft Arizona.com, so withought that I would not be here.  I am glad they are here, and am glad they are doing sooo well here.
I will continue to be a loyal customer, and friend to Ron, Ogre and everyone else I see there!

It was once believed that Chuck Norris actually lost a fight to a
pirate, but that is a lie, created by Chuck Norris himself to lure more pirates to him. Pirates never were very smart.

You practically live there Mugen! :D

.....As Do I on most occasions

But its the customer friendly atmosphere and the not so bad selection of gus that keep me there. Plus its really the best place in town for the airsoft community of tucson to hang out! People like Pryde, and 1trooper are also frequents to this establishment.

We have nice upholsterd benches right next to the sword rack. The one on the far right is right in view of the shooting box. So you can lounge in the chair, and shoot the cardboard box down the hall with a pistol at the same time. :D

I think ours has a bathroom as well.
I remember also Ogre telling me that the one in tucson has the most square feet so far. But I might be wrong.

The Tucson JT is the biggest (I haven't seen the Scottsdale one, though, so it might be bigger, but I doubt it.)

Ron and I wasted like 45 minutes at the Tucson store kicking holes in a wall that was removed before it opened.

We had a lot to do and someone to meet, but we wasted time anyways.  Ron almost really hurt himself.  It was funny.  We're really stupid.
