AK Mag Pouches
« on: March 27, 2005, 12:32:25 PM »
Well.. I have an AK. I have mags for it, now. What I don't have are mag pouches. Theres the STRIKE pouches, but I don't like those. Has anyone seen any good mag pouches for the AK? I don't wanna get a wasatch for em, cause then I'd be JUST like you, Ian! Wasatch, knife, guns and all!

Sorry for the noob question.

That's not a n00b question.

Tactical Tailor makes some nice AK pouches.
http://optactical.com/akmagpouch.html

They are $18 each, and hold 2 mags.  They attach with MALICE clips (included).

There aren't many options for AK users these days, but http://www.optactical.com has the most options in on place that I've seen.  HSGI has a pouch that will work, as does Patriot Performance Materials (http://optactical.com/ampiiakmagpo.html).  Look around on the site, and see what you can find.

Dude, no one but you likes that Russian sh*t.

He wants something MOLLE compatible, not a whole new setup.

Tim, I love it how the only stuff you reccommend is sold by you..Haha. The only problem with getting an AK or gun that doesn't use M4 style mags is that you will find it harder to get gear to fit your mags, and even then it will look funny.

Actually, Busta, that's not entirely true.  There are many times I recommend other vendors, when I don't carry what might work.  Do on other boards all the time.

I even have those Camelbak bite-valves someone was inquiring about...and I didn't pimp those.....

now...back into your hovel! :)

Why not promote what he sells. He needs to make cash some how its just a form of advertising, its not like hes forcing him to buy it.

I like those tac. Taylor ones, but Tim's rock.. I don't like the fastex clips, but hey.. we've all gotta deal with everything. Thanks for the help, guys. And thank GOD I didn't need to buy the strike pouches :-X

Tim, I won't have the denero for a bit (two weeks at the most) But I'd like to buy 3-4 of them when I can. If they start selling quick, PM me and.. I'll.. need to ask my daddy for a loan! :-(

Now that I see each holds 4 (dual mag pouches.. I'm so tired), save me two OD's.. if they sell quick. And reading, I need to attatch them to the vest with Malice clips, am I right?

Maybe mounted on a HSGI drop leg, I think I am going to buy one off you, That and maybe somthing like a CSM MAG Dump, if you have one or if you will make one for under CSMs List price,

I also Have a sling Idea to bounce of you when you get a chance.

I don't have any better pics of the SAPPER pouches because, alas, they still do not exist.  There have been 2 prototypes and 2 real ones made....and I only have the prototypes.

My first batch, which was supposed to arrive like...in December or so....will be Multicam and Coyote Brown. And ALL the Multicam are pre-sold.

I don't carry CSM gear, nor do I make anything.
